Very nice, as usual. What kind of canvas do you use? I have tried using a regular canvas painting, but I find it difficult for the needle to go through. You are making it look so easy, I was wondering.

Thank you! This is a regular painting canvas, perhaps try to look for one that is not treated and it will be easier to push through 🙏🏼🥰

I’ve dabbled in cross-stitch for 30 years but only now getting into embroidery. I’m literally doing a few stitch sample practices as I watch this video. I really love this idea of printed fabric. I have a stash of vintage fabric thrift finds I now know what I want to use them for!

Hello, i have been following your channel for a while now and really enjoy your work. I do embroidery, but would love to sell them, but can't imagine it's something that could be priced according to the endless hours it takes to make. Do you sell your work ? Any advice would be appreciated ❤ Thank you x
@CharlesElin
@CharlesElin 22 күн бұрын
@@belindacurtis48 yes this is a constant battle! The question is whether to sell fewer for more or if you prefer to sell more pieces for less money, it’s always the balance. The way I’ve been able to manage it is by complementing my artistic offerings with many different things so that the combination allows me to keep making the work that sings to my heart. I also think the way we position embroidery, whether as a craft or art, influences the perceived value for the buyer…. Just reflections from my experience. I write more about this on Substack under “Follow Your Gut”

Who knows if a comment ever makes it to the intended recipient, but I want to compliment you about your fingernails: They are so healthy and beautiful! In the crazy environment of expensive, bulky, long, pointed fake nails, it is so refreshing to see a natural nail - there's nothing better than the real thing.

Jacquard makes an acrylic paint that behaves like dye or watercolor, but can be heat set. It's called Dynaflow, and I've worked enough with it to confidently recommend it, including using it in an airbrush. Anyone who loves this works, and might be interested in doing it on clothing....... '-)

Actually, I'm wondering how this impacts the streching of the sweater.
@CharlesElin
@CharlesElin 2 ай бұрын
From my experience it hasn’t impacted it at all! Probably because I used the same wool floss and made sure to not pull too hard (leaving space to stretch), hope it helps, Elin xx
