Here's How I Embroidered my Tote Bag

Cotton tote bags are amazing, because they're not just super useful - but they also serve as the perfect base to make art! You can embroider essentially any of our patterns onto a tote. Just make sure there is no stretch before using a hoop as support.
The designed used for this Tote bag is inspired by a beautiful flower shop in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It was first released as a part of our pattern program, which is included in the Charles and Elin Academy.

This is so beautiful! I loved seeing it being finished in front of the building that inspired it.🤩 May I ask, do you recommend using some sort of backing to protect the design before use? Thank you!

Thank you!! To be honest, I never use backing neither when I embroider my clothes nor on Tote bags and it has never been any problem. Though I know many who swear by the backing, so I'd suggest you do what feels the most natural to you! Personally, the most important is to make sure that you secure your floss properly every time with knots so tha you're able to wash it without risking the threads to undo themselves :) Hope his helps!

I haven’t tested it, but if the fabric is paler, I would imagine that putting the pattern under the fabric against a window and tracing with the light could perhaps be a more complicated alternative?
