I've been doing that for a long time but I don't set the club head so high.... Actually it's the exact same swing as Henrik Swenson. He pre sets EVERY SWING

I feel this. Had a friend I regularly played with who would get there early and get the starter to get us out ASAP. I'd show up and he'd say "were on the tee" or "we tee in 10 min." Ugh. He passed away a year ago. Although I miss him, my pre-round warm ups are normal, and relaxed.

Def like being warmed up and find out what my tendencies for the day are. Hate jumping into a round without stretching or any knowledge

I agree from a teachers perspective, just make sure it doesn’t transition into a pulling/sweep move from too far inside. We all know what happens then.

I’m not going to reinvent the wheel. Gonna stick with what pros do. If it’s good enough for them, then it is good enough for me.

Anything wrong with “too wide”? Width = distance no?
@Smeagol1904
@Smeagol1904 9 сағат бұрын
If you have little leg power a big hinge can help with some club accel. Many ways to get it done. Low hinge is simple tons of pros do now but need big ground forces. Middle ground looks classic. Tiger2000 swing. Early helps consistency vs late hinge for power. Swing ur swing. Wrist conditions induce lower body movements but also need to match with what u have

Width is distance hands are from ball. Think right arm less bent. Excess wrist hinge often comes with >90deg trail arm structure

I started playing 3 years ago. I do this with wedges all the time. It's more efficient and takes out unnecessary movement that leeds to bad swing thoughts

Jye had 28 points today, he is already predicted to miss the cut at the Australian Open. If he identifies as a woman between now and then, he could finish in the Top 25.

Those who say this one tip helped them a lot have either tried it very briefly or received much more instruction about how to complement that move with the arms and hands. Thinking about this one move will make 100 out of 100 golfers hit it horribly for a while until they start to modify their old habits. Secondly, one should only make this move if one needs it. Many golfers need to do the opposite. Giving a tip to the masses rarely works well because 99 out of 100 golfers don't understand how to implement the move correctly. In other words, those saying they hit it great after doing this one thing are either saying it to help the poster gain more business, or they are given to prevarication.

I’ve started doing this with my irons a few months ago. I get slagged to death for the pause but I’m nipping my irons in the air and it’s made a huge difference to my previous flat swing due to rapping the club!

This pre set has helped my full swing for the last several months. I’m not getting the width in my backswing that some say we should have but I’ve been tagging the sweet spot on the club face regularly as the pre set gets my backswing right on plane for the downswing 😊
