He's literally lifting with his spine wtf, bend your knees and use your legs

The purpose of exercise is not to move the lymphatic fluid 😂😂. Sure, it’s a feature, but to say it’s the purpose is dumb. The purpose of EXERCISE is strength, cardiovascular endurnace, or flexibility. The purpose of basic movement is survival, acquire food, complete required tasks, avoid danger. Improving the circulation of the lymphatic fluid is a byproduct, one that can be accomplished with massage and deep breathing.

On the surface, he's got the right attitude, but in support? Facts? Bit of the word salad method there. Mis-pronunciation of muscle groups is a lil' ol' red flag too...

Pretty sure he didn't mispronounce any muscle groups

The guy attempting to lift what looks like 455 lbs has terrible form, and in my eyes "not big enough" to be pulling that kind of weight. I've watched some Ronnie Coleman reaction videos and already know what he'd be saying. "Bro, you ain't got the back or legs for that. Way, wayyyy too much weight."
@dja49785 сағат бұрын
This is fucking stupid. First one has way more injury risk

What a load of bullshit. Lifting stones is an awesome way of building strength but how does that mean deadlifts are somehow …dangerous?

I’ve injured my back twice in my 20 years of lifting. Both from deadlifts. I’ve learned my lesson. It’s just not worth it.

So a man who's good at lifting versus a man who's doing a deadlift with poor form and obviously too much weight? Yes, the problem with deadlifting like he was could be injury. I can deadlift that much no problem. Make sure your form is good, and don't egolift!
@HansKlopek8 сағат бұрын
Unless you're a competitive power lifter stay away from ego lifting. Its not worth a lifetime of chronic pain.

Lol. Not even comparable. This second guy didnt need to use so much load for deadlifts to be useful . First guy used leverages and didnt load his posterior chain in same way as with deadlift barbell. Just not the same- first guy used knowledge and skill, second guy was just stuid and deserved pain. No need for so many plates with such form as he has.

I’m 43 and never been more into fitness but I find I keep hurting myself. As a result, I refuse to compete or do anything that could cause me to hurt myself, certainly not videoing myself to show how much I “can lift”.
@FaithinChrist3x12 сағат бұрын
Um...im not a professional lifter, but from what little I know: if you feel pops in your back from lifting, you lifted too heavy, with a bad technique, or both. My dad is an old fart retiree, and often get with other old fart retirees so i grew up with various stories about peiple throwing out their back, and ALL of them was doing "functional" things like work. And almost every case was them reflecting on how they caused the issue due to their own ego/carelessness. It comes down to technique and proper load. Not gym equipment vs rocks.

The guy doing the deadlift is using bad technique and that's the only reason he got hurt. Misleading video.

I've popped my SI deadlifting. It comes from a weakness in the glutes and abductors. I still deadlift though.

5x5 program had me start with an empty bar then load up 5 pounds a week using the 2.5 plates. Over time, your body adjusts.

This why I don’t mess with deadlifts. I’m sure there are benefits to it but the drawbacks aren’t worth it and it’s not a natural movement to me. Neither does it feel natural to me.
@Alley00Cat21 сағат бұрын
Ah yes, another “modern life exercises” are unnatural and “caveman routines” are good because…lifting rocks and stuff is what our ancestors did so…it’s good? 😂😂😂. Lifting in the gym is the safest environment for lifting. GTFO with your pebbles Flintstone.

You can dead lift heavy and nothing will go wrong but just by twisting your body just to pick up a spoon off a bench can pinch your nerves or slip a disk.

Barbells don’t “herniate” discs. Being a moron causes injury.

No, YOU herniated your disc. Safety record for Deadlifting is better than lifting stones and strongman.
@bethechangeme2233Күн бұрын
Your form when dead lifting a barbell that is FAR too heavy for you is the reason why you snapped your stuff up. Try lighter weights until you build up the required muscle to keep good form with this much weight. Lifting stones like that with good form is MUCH harder than deadlifting with good form. Good form btw, for those who dont know, is the manner in which you positioin your body in order to protect yourself from injury. The strongest man in the world can snap himself up if he uses bad form lifting weights beyond his capacity.
