plz giveme reference book assume an 8" one-way slab continuous over 4 total supports. The Clear span between supports is ln = 16'-0". Use f. = 3000 psi and fy = 60,000 psi. Assume d = 6" to the main reinforcing a.Determine the moment and shear values using the ACI coefficients. Draw each diagram assuming a knife-edge support (i.e., ignore the width of the supporting beams). b.Determine the required flexural reinforcing (bar size and spacing) in the slab at the first interior support

How do you get 189 mm2/m as Area of steel required for outer support when the moment equals zero. could you pleas explain.
@princekadema60107 күн бұрын
hey, were you able to find out how 189 was found for the outer support
@jkengineeringarchitecture.7 күн бұрын
@princekadema6010 Yes. Thanks he mentioned how he got it, but somehow I didn't hear. But when I re-watch it, I heard he stated to use the minimum reinforcement which is 0.13%bh. Thanks very much for reaching out to me.

Interesting tutorial, thanks for sharing. BTW, if you struggle with designing a steel base plate with anchors in a fully reinforced concrete footing, I recently noticed that IDEA StatiCa can already design both parts. And it includes the actual behavior of the anchors in the concrete pad, including all possible failures such as prying, shear failures, or pull-out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXPTeYGIiaaFqbs
