@enami_01369 ай бұрын
hello. can this be applied to the old frensh norm BAEL? cs the basics of this seams similar to it
@MrElgamal779 ай бұрын
The bases of most codes are similar. But there are some few differences.

Thank you, doctor. This video was really helpful. It solved a lot of problems for me in this course Please which table did you use to calculate the number and diameter of bars (4T20) and Ast provided
@karimalsaid1951 Жыл бұрын
Since this guide is based on british standard BS, then "BS 4449 - Carbon steel bars for the reinforcement of concrete", section "5 - Cross sectional area and mass", "Table 2 - Cross sectional area and mass", diameter 20 as assumed by the Dr., has cross-sectional area of 314.2 mm2. Ast provided is the area of the steel that you assumed (against required 1147 mm2), here assumed is 4 x T20, which would have an area of 4 x 314.2 = 1,256.8 mm2.

Hello Sr i hope you are well may God bless you you have been my lecturer since i started my course i know all your video there are really helpful, you said that k is help us to know if we can use only tension or tension and compression (singly and double), i would like to know which K can we use to find (Z) or (leaver arm)? is it k' primer or K that we calculate, in example you use k that you calculated how should i have to know that k you calculated is the one to use to find (Z) i am very confused about it pls help me Sr.
@MrElgamal77 Жыл бұрын
Hello. If k is less than k', then it will be singly reinforced and you will use k to get z. If k is greater than k', then it will be doubly reinforced section. The z in this case will be constant as 0.775 d. This 0.775d, you can get it from the z equation by using k' but you do not need. It will be always 0.775d.

Thanks for helping us doctor, and I wanna ask a question ⁉ why has BS 8110 part 1_ 1997 been limiting the value of lever arm should not be taken less than 0.95 times the effective depth . Thanks once again doctor.
@MrElgamal772 жыл бұрын
It should be less than or equal to 0.95d. The code put this limit for safety and to insure that part of the concrete in the compression will be available to resist the compression forces. This will also give more steel reinforcement.

Thanks ustaad sharif i ask you one quastion for equation formula load from solid slab two way area trapizodal n×area of trapizodal/long side of panel or ly sir that formula is correct or not And area of trangular transfer to beam formula n×area of trangle/short span or lx that formula is correct or not
@MrElgamal772 жыл бұрын
Yes. This will give a uniform load on beam. The shear force using this method will be correct but the moment will be under estimated.
