Anyone know the personnel playing on this cut? Earl and McKuen are playing banjo but who played dobro? Does not sound like Bashful Brother Oswald. It may be Norman Blake, I reckon. Sounds like Doc Watson may have been playing guitar.

Unfortunately, Farrar never managed to match or better this first record.

Without Uncle Charlie’s intro it’s just a beautiful song. With Uncle Charlie’s intro it’s exponentially better.

This is so brilliant but PLEASE what is the tuning you’re in. Can’t be open tuning with a capo on 4. Does anyone have a guitar lessor for this??

"Switching it over to AM Searching for a truer sound Can't recall the call letters Steel guitar and settle down Catching an all-night station somewhere in Louisiana It sounds like 1963, but for now it sounds like heaven" Might be the best lines I’ve ever heard. Writing is unreal. So simple; just truth of a long road trip.

Grew up in a small town. Me and a buddy we were about ten years old, and we got us a job in the neighborhood bar on Saturday Mornings. We'd sweep up the place and empty the ashtrays and the bartender gave us each a buck. We would each get a bottle of coke, a bag of beer nuts, play a couple games of pool and put on a few songs on the jukebox. This version of Mr. Bojangles was always one of the songs we picked.

Still Feel gone has been in my collection since the 90s. It was always there but must’ve not been ready for it. I firmly believe it’s the best UT album and just a tad behind Windfall as best album all time. I’m in love with it.

I honestly just started listening to Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt a year ago. I heard the name here and there in passing, but they didn't get the attention they deserved, or maybe didn't want to sell out to. I knew WIlco long before I dug into Jay's stuff. And 30 something years from when this was written, it's as true as ever and it's some of my absolute favorite stuff.
