i have just done a similiar external rotated stretch for the lat and felt a slight pain in my since 3 years broken shoulder which is linked to lat rotator cuff but the whole side feels off. ill keep doing that one because i feel like it might open tissue i havent been able to adress during my rehab yet!

This is very much dependent on anatomical proportions. I have thick strong legs, workout every day, and I struggle to get my upper body over the legs in order to get the leverage. If I use momentum I can do it easily but otherwise I just can't.

Yeah it's not the knee on the front leg that hurts, it's the knee on the back leg that you lower towards the floor. I can't do that at all without sharp pain. Is there a modification for that?

Great information, today I am looking to help my wife. Her big toe is sticking up. She is having trouble walking and always complains about her legs hurt. She is going to PT but I am looking to help her at home. Now if I can just get her to do some of these exercises.

Great stuff! I teach a foot strengthening class to seniors. Lack of toe flexor strength is the best predictor of a senior falling. This is a great progression from my seated band-resisted big toe flexor exercise. Thanks for sharing! 👣👍

I’m gaining really good improvement using a pulley device. Does it hurt? Yes it does hurt but it doesn’t hurt too much. I tried methods that were recommended here in physio that were similar and it wasn’t affective at all. Not for me anyways. One exercise not mentioned here is to lay on you back and with a broom handle or whatever similar do a bench press up then push the broom stick as far back as possible. I guess if you didn’t have a complete break in your arm with shoulder involvement and have a ton of hardware holding your arm together there’d be a couple exercises here I’d be willing to try but maybe I’ll wait a few more months. It’s been 4 months since my accident.

I can’t do calf raises at all not put weight on my toes or front of foot. They’re calling it insertional Achilles tendinitis and want me to wear a boot for two weeks. Does that sound right?
@tarzanmike7836
@tarzanmike7836 9 күн бұрын
Boot didn’t work for me at all. I had some relief by putting heel lifts into both shoes. It enabled the tendon to get some relief and not the constant stretch.

Thank you. Does the amount of weight matter? Can you use strong bands? Inguinal hernia, does this move address the lower abdominal cavity where the hernia is protruding near the pubic bone? Thank you.

It's just resisting a constant force so I would say yes. I have no idea about the hernia.

I can likely do more pullups, squats (loaded or not), and pushups than them yet I cannot do this because once my butt hits the floor I literally have no leverage to put the load back onto my feet without rocking heavily or using counter weight. Guess I have had a high chance of death for my entire developed life, and I've literally always been athletic! Haha

I just figured out this on my own this morning and then came to your site which also advice doing the same thing. Great minds think alike. My assessment is that the lap muscle is flexing too strongly in a displaced pelvic region and hence the need to push against that muscle to maintain equilibrium. Cheers.
