AFTER MANY WIRING SWAPS I CAN SAY YOU DIG AROUND AND SPEND MOST OF YOURNTIME ORGANIZING THENHARNESSES TO MERGE THEN THERE IS ABOUTN 21 OR 24 WIRES TO MERGE DEPENDING ON YEAR OF SWAP. I ALSO ADDED SEAT HEATERS TO MY 85 RX TURBO WITH THE 06STI PLATFORM. JUST TAKES PRACTICE AND TIMEN

The new FA24 is proving to be a stout progression in the Subie engine family. I think a lot of the community would like to know what’s involved in swapping an FA into an EJ based chassis. 🙏

I have a 2001 Subaru legacy gt limited 2.5L SOHC with the 5 speed manual trans, all is factory. I can’t for the life of me find a 2000-2004 manual transmission donor car at a pick n pull around me or online that has the harness that connects the ABS plug the 2 fan plugs, and alternator wiring that snakes all together and goes into the driver fender and into the dash. The dealer told me that that harness that goes into the driver side of the door from the front of car is also different than any of the automatic transmission 2000-2004 sedans or outback wagons I am seeing when I go to pick n pull. I looked on your website and was going to reach out to you about getting me that harness with all new connectors/plugs installed, and if there was a broken wire then have you guys re pin the entire wire instead of a cut and splice situation that I’m dealing with. I also noticed the aftermarket radio is hard wired in and the factory connectors are cut and spliced and I wanted to get that put all back together with a factory plug set up. It’s my high school car I got when I was 16 and I’m 24 now, I sold it and it stayed around my town for the longest time, and I regretted getting rid of it the day I let it go, years later and I just got it back and I’m trying to make it the car I once owned again. It’s a very sentimental car for me. Also, this video is amazing, you have a lot of patience, skill/knowledge and it’s a very awesome thing to see.

When you say to make sure the rubber weather seal is inside the plug, the finished product/plug should look like the one on the left w the green check mark next to it? Or is that a part that goes inside of the plug?

Apparently some connectors don't identify as a male or female. I prefer to identify as a plug.

I'm looking to put an H6 3.6r into my 2010 outback 2.5i, which came stock with the H4 and manual transmission. Every video series and forum post i find has someone swapping a different combination of parts, so i was wondering if you knew of a good place to get info on my version of the swap?

2 questions: 1. Where do you find the strainer or 'sock' that's the correct fit for the pump? My AEM pump came with just a rectangular one 2. One O ring or 2 when putting the pump back in?

Is there a way to disconnect it from the wiring going under the passenger and driver side trim and behind each seat belt? Taking apart an 06 Impreza wagon and it looks like I’m going have to get into both seat belts and unplug.

Why not install the harness on the engine first, and then put the intake manifold on?

LOL saved my ass. I was fighting with a pin for way too long thinking I must be missing something. Searched for depin Denso ECU connector and luckily your video came up. I thought that pin lock was just a mold mark. Learn something new every day!

This video helped me figure out that a trans shop forgot to plug in my 6pin connector. Leaving my car basically clueless as to what was going on with the trans. Thanks guys. Y’all are awesome for making videos like this.

Went through a engine builder frasier engines. Best buy ever. Engine runs great got 50k on it troublefree. No oil comsumption. MLS headgasket. They upgraded all the proned troubles.
