I always thought Naruto showed me the value of the bond of friendship, about believing in yourself, and never giving up. But I realize that I always had these and that Naruto simply reinforced it. I always had these values well before I started watching Naruto, but I believe that's also one of the reasons why I liked Naruto so much, because I could relate and identify with him and his ideals. The problem is I already had these values very strong to me, and unfortunately I now believe that Naruto made these worst to the point they became too strong of values, that I could not change or get rid of. With the friendship part, I always believed it was important to stick with your friends, to stand up for them always. But there are too many awful and weak people that wouldn't close do what I would for them, so you shouldn't keep them close. Believing in yourself was always strong within me, but likely Naruto made me too self-centered and not able to see the real picture of life. It likely put me in a story mode where I believed that eventually things will work out, but real life just isn't going to work in your favor unless you do something instead of believing it must work out eventually. Not giving up, I always had that in me very strong, but if it's too strong and encouraged all the time like in Naruto then it can lead to your downfall. I go too hard and commit so much into something, I go and only go 100%, of course I try not to anymore now. There are reasons to take it easy, and stop what you're doing or reassess if it's worth it. I've been thinking that Naruto made me a better person, but it likely just made my life harder and my views worst than where it was before. I took many things to heart, and I felt I needed or could've used a person I could look up to, someone I could admire; and that someone just happened to be Naruto and a few other characters that I never met or never existed.

Honestly, Makima gives me Patrick Batman vibes. The way they act and hide their true nature is the definition of a wolf in sheeps clothing. When it comes to her power ranking, though, i would argue she's not that impressive. A much weaker version of Poxhita, masking as Denji was able to one shot her multiple times. It was only through her contract that she was able to best him in combat. In other words, Makima is so disgusting of an individual that she can only get people to like her by brainwashing them.

The only struggle I have with these sorts of powerscaling exercises is they really seem to take everything as fact. It's fine to listen to what Kubo says, but so much of what Gin thinks about Aizen or even what Aizen says about himself could easily be them being high of Aizen's own supply.
