You assement of MAYU is 100 percent correct, she has such a western frontman voice and vibe, she is just so charasmatic as well. Ive seen Lovebites and Band Maid live and they were spectacular, but Saiki and Asami tend to be a little more reserved on stage. Not Mayu she is a firecracker! And we here in the west love our Frontmen like that!

Yes, Wacken 2013 were propably 4 of the most magical days of my life. And seeing this very same concert live invited on one of the camera plattforms was suddenly one of the best experiences ever. I remember afterwards we packed our things and left the camping grounds to avoid the exiting rush from sunday morning. It was about 2 a.m. when we were finally back in Hamburg and we sat down at a bar in the portuguise quarter (it was about 500m away from where I lived at that time) near the harbour and were still vibing with everything we had experienced.

Thank you for your reaction. Just a small correction. asami trained in ballet from a young age in Japan. She is 148 cm tall, and her height stopped growing. She was told she could only play children's roles in ballet performances, which led to her feeling discouraged. So, she decided to study modern dance instead of ballet and went to study abroad in LA (actually in San Diego). It seems that her study abroad lasted for about a year, and during that time, she had the chance to sing the U.S. national anthem at a sports event. This experience led her to pursue a career in music.

I totally agree that Mayu has a more Western sounding voice than other Japanese female singers, one of the reasons I enjoy Nemophila so much. Oh, and drummer Tamu, her smile sure does light up the world!

Sadly, SAKI (the guitarist with the darker hair who played the first solo) left the band around Easter. They are now a 4-piece, but vocalist Mayu has started to play guitar on some songs at live shows. Their main songwriting collaborator also parted ways with them, so the band are now writing more of their own songs.

I saw them in Milano (Italy) in June and i can tell You that Lovebites on live show and from 5 meters are better the video live!

#Anastasia Asami study in CALIFORNIA , she was in Jazz & R'B class during 2 years after that she decide to come-back in Japan to be a singer as professionnal. METAL wasn't in her mind at all, Miho & Haruna choose her because she able to sing in English. No, she study ballet in Tokyo. Sorry but she wasn't on the East cost of USA.

Tried to record this in Dallas, the guitar intro is super clear and clean...however...as soon as Fami and Haruna kicked in they destroyed my phone!! It's really cool you can actually see how the glorious and brutal sound wave distorts my camera lens. Can't wait for them to come back!!🤘🤘🤘
