Do you let the potatoes dis off all the way or just a bit? Have you ever gotten a potato fruit? I’m growing potatoes for the first time and I had no idea about the fruit. I’ve grown thirty plants and only got one small fruit!
@Root_and_Fleurish_Farm18 күн бұрын
I wait until I see them die a little. Not completely. Yes they make little green tomato looking things sometimes but I usually just toss them in the compost. 😊

Those jars look great. Nice little cubes! Music too loud. You don’t really need music.

Isnt it a shame that you cant tell goats to lie down so it is easier to push .

Sometimes it’s better for them to move around and walk. She’s the only doe I have that prefers to do it standing up :)

Just don't get discouraged. Grow what grows here. Florida is a great place to grow so many things, easily. Don't try to grow northern flowers, vegetables, etc. Native Floridian garden. You're off to a great start Many things bolt in the summer also, lettuce, cilantro, etc.

Good morning newest friend! "THANK U!" This Video is answering a question I asked of another canning person earlier this morning couldn't: can a person Brown their meat before they can it and it." I am a first year canner and deathly afraid of making us sick by not doing it right. Have a beautiful and blessed day. LUCRETIA
@Root_and_Fleurish_Farm2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can brown meat before canning. I prefer this method for beef and pork. It gives a better flavor in my opinion :) “Raw packing” is the method of just adding in raw meat to the can and letting it create its own juice in the jar. I did chicken this way in another video. If you cook meat first before adding to the jar you will need to add liquid. Hope that helps!

(Mary here) I can pork all the time. I cold pack it because 75-90 minutes plus time to pressurize and cool down will adequately cook the meat. I add seasoning of course B4 sealing and wipe the rims with white vinegar. Meat comes out really tender.
@Root_and_Fleurish_Farm2 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s very tender when reheated! Definitely making a lot more jars of canned pork :)

I'm sure this will taste good, but in no way is it carnitas. Seems like you've mashed BBQ & Mexican flavors together, but carnitas is a whole different process.
@alejandracontreras32662 жыл бұрын
En México cada estado tiene su propia versión de carnitas y ésta me parece buena para ser hecha de esta manera. Una mexicana.

@@Root_and_Fleurish_Farm yes it has been a long time, I believe it was when my husband and kids (Carla and Stephen) came to your house In Davie and had dinner your Dad cooked. Your Mom took me around the area because she knew we were planning to eventually move to Florida, then during the week we all went to a Mexican restaurant don't remember the name of it. Do you remember that? You and Jen and my Stephen were playing ball outside.
