I was too emotional to talk about this on video but last week we got the news that our chocolate Labrador is no longer responding to his cancer treatments (10 months since diagnosed with TCell Lymphoma) and nothing more can be done. I’m trying a few Hail Marys on my own to help my sweet Harley so please pray and send all the good healing vibes you can 💔🙏🏼
Update: Our beautiful boy crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge peacefully at home with the help of our vet on August 22, 2022. Thank you for all the love and support. Our hearts are forever broken but we will go on until we see you again our sweet angel boy. 😢💔♥️ Mommy loves you.
Thanks for hanging out in the homestead kitchen with me today. I’ve been trying to stay busy and cleaning and cooking always seems to be a Form of easy therapy for me.
Easy Dutch Oven Artisan Bread-
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1/2 tablespoon salt
3 1/4 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1. Add water and yeast into bowl. Mix to dissolve yeast.
2. Add salt, and flour. Mix together to combine into shaggy dough.
3. Cover bowl with towel and set aside in warm location for 2+ hours
4. Preheat oven to 450. Put Dutch oven into oven to heat up.
5. Sprinkle cornmeal onto parchment paper and scrape out dough. Season top if desired.
6. Add parchment with dough into hot Dutch oven and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Remove top for the last 5-10 minutes to brown top of bread.
Easy Homemade Mayonnaise-
1 cup light flavored oil
1 room temp fresh egg
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper
Combine ingredients and blend until thick and emulsified.
