Dear Lucinda, Yet another exciting and inspiring video! I truly believe the tide has turned-you are on the verge of making your dream a reality, and nothing can stand in your way of achieving it! Your video holds great value as it draws the viewer into a world of inspiration and hope. It resonated with me deeply and has been both enjoyable and helpful. Stay creative and true to your goals. You have many talents: endurance, dedication, enthusiasm, and a unique gift for connecting with people. The more you open yourself up, the more people you will reach-but this openness must be rooted in creativity, just as you are doing. Only then do our actions become solidified, transformed into works of art-a true personal legacy! Thank you so much! Greetings from North Europe 😀

I appreciate your continued support! I'm finding more and more how I want to live a creative life. ay have nothing to do with my videos but I started doing a sketch / mini painting a day which I very much enjoy doing and it gives me a ton of inspiration. May that's a reason my videos have a bit of a different feel lately? Whatever it is, it's fun and that's what's important!

@@LucindaLives This morning painting concept sounds fascinating! Have you ever come across Carl Jung's daily Mandala drawings? They might resonate with your approach or even inspire a vlog topic. If you're intrigued, a good starting point would be reading the Wikipedia entry about Mandalas. 😀
@photovisionproject2 күн бұрын
Here is an original quote of Carl Jung: When I began drawing the mandalas, however, I saw that everything, all the paths I had been following, all the steps I had taken, were leading back to a single point-namely, to the mid-point. It became increasingly plain to me that the mandala is the center. It is the exponent of all paths. It is the path to the center, to individuation....I saw that here the goal had been revealed. One could not go beyond the center. The center is the goal, and everything is directed toward that center. Through this dream I understood that the self is the principle and archetype of orientation and meaning. Therein lies its healing function. For me, this insight signified an approach to the center and therefore to the goal. 😀

Oooh, this is so exciting. I’m looking forward to see all the adventures and misadventures you encounter. I have no attention span or mental capacity for Sketchup. I went the traditional path with pencil and grid paper when we built our first camper van. Your meal outing looks delicious. Love your content, Creative Director.

Pencil and paper is what I started with. But then I kept adjusting and changing things. I have found that doing it digitally makes it a lot easier to make adjustments. But I hear you, much easier the old-fashioned way!

Wow, I'm not the only one feeling this way. I swear, lately that I have been feeling like I am in a Alice in wonderland loop. It's the same ol same ol, day in and day out routine. For Years, I have been watching and admiring people living their life in a van, car, bus, truck or whatever. I feel that I can and need to do it. I have been saving my coins with the intention of buying a shuttle bus and converting it to a tiny house on wheels. Thank you and the also the people in the comments for reminding and inspiring me to move forward. 🫶🏾🤗🫶🏾

"Becoming the creative director for my own life." I love that and will definitely keep that in mind in 2025! It's interesting how we've bought into this myth that we have to figure things out on our own when so many of the successful people I talk to have mentors, accountability partners, coaches, etc. I don't think we were meant to do anything in life completely on our own.

Yay for camping!! Did you get a chance to sleep overnight yet or just go for a day trip? I don’t think we’ve been since September and it’s really getting to me. We usually go once a month and we planned this weekend but temps got below freezing so we had to skip. 😢 It’s ok though because I got to work on a bunch of cool projects!

Not yet! We did nap in the van after our brunch 😂. It's been day trips so far since we're still testing everything out and I want to really work on the actual camper solution I want to build. But I have to say that after this test, I could just go out adventuring as is, it all worked out great

How many 120v electrical outlets are in the van? What is the maximum wattage those outlets can handle? What battery is powering those outlets and what recharges it? Does the van have to be on to use the outlets, like could you plug in a fridge and leave it running indefinitely, or as soon as you turn it off will it disable the outlets.
@LucindaLives4 күн бұрын
It has 2 120V outlets underneath the front seats hat only seem to work when the ignition is on. The fridge is in the 12V outlet in the back and seems to be running even when the ignition is off, but I could be wrong and that the fridge has just been staying cold through the times we've been driving. We haven't tested it with long term standing still. They outlets are powered by a 12V battery underneath the driver's seat I believe. To be fair tho, I have not really investigated all of this so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. I purchased a powerbank with which I am planning to power my stovetop and fridge for the short trips I'll be doing in the beginning and before i go on longer trips I'll figure a more permanent power solution out.

You need ventilation. Stick on some rain guards above the windows, and make a screen that you can set in the crack of the window. Also a battery operated fan will help with the air inside.

I don't live in my van, but I have a high top van that's 10 yrs old this year. It's had 4 different "test" layouts, and I've got the major components of the newest layout in place now. I spent 6 weeks this fall adventuring & visiting family, and I had a blast. Spent $0 on hotel rooms in nearly 4000 miles. The VW ID Buzz is the first vehicle that might pry me out of my current van, but not until the wheels fall off of this buggy! Enjoy your build & thank you for sharing it with us!

Be sure to check if that 12V outlet is powered when the van is off. There's no camping mode or dog mode as Tesla has. There are some European van users who put concrete blocks in the driver seat to mimic a person in the seat & force the van on. Security locks are disabled, if I recall correctly. Best wishes & great video!
@LucindaLives6 күн бұрын
Yup, just tested today and it kept on. Apparently, there are workarounds that you can use in order to fake a camping mode like Tesla. I've only read about it and not tried it myself but will soon. And yes I've seen the videos of people putting heavy stuff in the driver's seat. But with the workaround you don't have to do that as I understand it. Once I figure it all out I'll make a video about it! Thanks for the pointers

@LucindaLives7 күн бұрын
