I have an issue with a character rig. The character has 4 arms. The arms seem to line up correctly with the bones but the torso does not act as one unit and stretches when I lower the waist to bend the knees. Also the part of the rig on the feet was generated below the feet so it does not move the feet but distorts the shins. I have no idea why since the bones were aligned properly to the mesh. There do not seem to be any really good tutorials for humanoid rigs with 4 arms. Usually trying to make a character with 4 arms breaks the rig generation. This was the first time I was able to generate a working rig for a character with 4 arms and it doesn't work right.

just perfect in 2024. if you are using blender 4.0 there is no more hair in render setting, it's called curves.

None of this makes any sense to me. I repeat what you do and don't see the same thing on my screen. I made guides (they look different too, i.e. as if they're meshed, not just lines). I add interpolate and don't see any hair at all. I select the surface and still, no hair. I increase density to 1,000,000 I see lots of strips, not hairs.

If let's say I imported a model from sketchfab or blenderkit or whereever , and if I use this method I can reduce the number of polygons significantly right in order to get smooth animation rigs later on (right now it's extremely laggy). I am still a beginner so I am asking this before watching the vid so I know I won't waste my time.

You didn't explain that the roughness, normal map, and displacement map image texture have to be set to non-colour data otherwise it won't work properly.

U make it look soooo easy :,) I am following your tutorial yet its super difficult to me, it is alwyas messy. Never looks good and I make way too many triangles, plus the amount of vertices doesnt match, oh well... Any tips on how i can solve this? Thanks for the very insightful Texture Painting & Shading tutorial! So many important concepts can be learn from it. But, for that Makeup Setup, from 4:58, I do not grasp the purpose of Alpha Socket (Makeup Image Texture Node) to Factor Socket (Mix Color Node), because, aren't those already different, independent Image Textures (layers) anyways, and already blending together just because of the Mix when they combine in the Mix Color Node?
