After a while of seeing different people who are not your friends or family it could feel lonely…unless you befriend the crew, the workers of the ship, and they are so busy and tired from their jobs you hardly see them…not my type of retirement. And when you need a hospital you can no longer be on a cruise…which will happen soon or later at a certain age…and why would I pay $500 per month for a room especially if you can live with more space in your home??? Do I want to take the risk of being on a cruise and there is a bad storm and ruff sea? I can see it would be appealing for some adventure for a while…but not all year around.

Would probably need to add trip insurance, just in case you need a medical extraction from the ship.

I love cruises but 1 Year is a bit much. 4 months from my freezing Canadian abodes would be delightful. @ 114K/3= 38K as a once in a lifetime gig would be awesome and doable.

Ridiculous price of 9K + a month! I,m sure the single will be around 7K. You could retire in Mexico and live like a KING on that or retire in many, many other nations. Even in the USA you can retire well. Nice video though for detail and showing another way.

Wow. I like the way Poverty to Paradise is doing it at $2,000/month. That means about $24,000 a year.

do you have overview video of the process - how to book same ship in sequence, transit, agent who can handle this type of booking, etc?

If you book this as back to back cruises with the cruise line, call directly and you get a small discount that can help. Roughly $100 per week. I used to work for Costco travel for over 10 years. This would get you a sweet Costco gift card!

On Princess you can ask to have the “gratuities” taken off your bill. I prefer to pay staff myself. Is that also true with Royal Caribbean?

That "Poverty to Paradise" channel... she lives for about $2,000 per month on a cruise ship.

She also has the advantage of using cruise line casino rates and only pays port taxes and fees. And gratuities are automated not mandatory…you do not have to pay them.

Thanks. That looks like a wonderful adventure. Trying to figure out if a year of cruising for 2 is possible for closer to $100k. Dont need the drinks ( unless they truly are free! ) but do want a safe and comfortable journey

Also please educate your viewers you won't even come close to paying that at all Because I got off a cruise on Celebrity 4 weeks ago and since that time....I've gotten 3....THREE....free veranda room cruises for two people .... for 3 to 12 days depending on which destinations and dates I choose so paying every cruise out of pocket is less realistic than the 114k price you posted

If people want to live on cruise ships, it's much cheaper not to concentrate on only one cruise line, and longer cruises usually have lower costs per day. (I know you know this, but some viewers may not.)

I am going on Vision for 3rd time in a few weeks. My husband & I love the ship. We don't want to lose an RC smaller ship cruising out of Balto. If they decide not to update/refurbish Vision I hope they give us a new small ship & keep solarium area with pool with steps.

Don't cancel your cruise!! We just got back from back to back cruises. I was worried about all these negative reviews but I think they are more for click bait so I'll be releasing a video about our experience shortly just to show what it's really like. We are NOT partiers by any means but we did go to all the scheduled parties just to check them out. There was nothing that you wouldn't see on any other ship when you go to a 1 am party. And if you don't want to see it, just don't go to those parties! 😂 On a back to back cruise, there were 5 sail away parties and I didn't see any of the behavior that these videos show from the inaugural cruise. I think that cruise attracted all the people that wanted to prove that it was a party ship so it was a self fulfilling prophesy. I mean, EVERY cruise will have people dressed inappropriately and acting the way they shouldn't be. In fact, I can tell you for sure that on Freedom and Independence 3/4 day cruises, the crowd was wilder (and we've done 2 of those back-to-backs last year). So we just avoid the pool during scheduled parties or any late night party venue. The only thing that I noticed was that the music *seemed* to be louder on the pool decks so when they WERE having those parties, the sound carried more to our balconies (both Central park and ocean view). Solarium was nice and quiet every time we went. We tried all specialty restaurants and they were very nice - great food, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere. Main dining room was a little louder when we were there but that's just people talking and it really a chance thing (we had some kids at the table next to ours who talked very loudly). Central park was very calm and quiet. We spent several lunches at Playmakers and watched the Boardwalk. It was mostly empty and quiet. Even the Music Hall, with their rock band, was very civilized. The ship itself is very nice and we absolutely loved it! So just don't go to the parties and you'll love your cruise.

I have been on Oasis class ships and I am not a partier. I have always found relaxing spaces on board and can just go watch the madness for a few minutes for some entertainment and move on. There are so many open spaces away from the craziness, I think you will have a great time. our schedule on Utopia just came out for the Sept 6, 2024 3 night cruise. With an Aqua show, Ice show and theatre show there is your entertainment for 3 nights. Take in some comedy, trivia and game shows and you really never need to go to the big wild events.

We've been twice and have several more booked. It is more of a party ship, but you don't have to participate in all the parties. They have other activities, just like the other oasis class ships. If you want to party, then your in luck. Then go back to your cabin and chill. Just a note on Grand Suites 17200 & 17600. These back up to a wall of speakers for the pool deck. Unless you want to be a part of the party all day, avoid these suites.

Went on the ship a couple of weeks ago. I am by no means a partier, and we had an excellent time. The title “party ship” is being blown way out of proportion. Sat back and read my book in the quiet of the solarium. Guarantee you that you’ll have a great time and going for back to back will allow you to see the wonderful shows without feeling rushed.
