I've seen videos about Super Mario who has lived aboard RCL ships for 20 years as a single. He is able to reduce his costs below your figures in several ways. First, after 340 cruise points (170 days) the single supplement drops to 50%. Second he mostly cruises from Miami year round, where cheaper cruises can be found. And he books as far ahead as possible, as soon as schedules are announced. He also books on board the ship in the future cruise desk to take advantage of discounts that may be offered. Usually very low deposit. Then he transfers all the bookings to a travel agent, who keeps track of any reductions in fares. He doesn't cruise during the 2 weeks around Christmas, where fares are extremely high. He has a condo in Miami that he can visit on turnaround days to take care of laundry and any other needs ashore/

Like Super Mario, I'm single and a solo cruiser most of the time. This would be prohibitively expensive for me (recently retired) but I could manage with maybe a smaller, older ship and maybe just a half year of traveling. I'm not giving up just yet!

What is the best Value European 7 day cruise on RC for Summer 2025 in your opinion? I am always looking for not necessarily cheap but instead a good value in the things I purchase. What do you think?

Allure of the Seas has a scheduled dry dock period in 2025 Q1, so that's why you weren't seeing any sailings available; the ship is gonna be up on blocks!

I want to do a side to side world tour. 😂 Start in Florida a couple weeks on the east coast of central and South America, Panama Canal to the west coast. Cross the pacific to Asia, a couple months cruising Asia then up the coast through the Mediterranean then on up to the fjords then down to England and then cross the Atlantic. That’s my cruising dream. 😂 Great video as always! Thanks

As of today short 57nts to reach Diamond Plus RCCL. And 78nts shy of Diamond with Carnival. Todays exercise was very informative. Another thought we are concerned with are the rates of gratuities. Having thoughts of going to guest service and remove gratuities from one of us completely or cutting both to equal 50%, no matter what line we are sailing. Now if we'd be sailing 5, 6, 7 or 10nts, pay $36 per night at no problem. But when booking it's for us, minimum nights would be 28nts and upwards. Okay, enough for now.

If I retired on a cruise ship. I wouldn't stay on the same ship. I am pretty sure Super Mario ship hops.
