Also a reason to watch are the Mariners absolute top tier announcing teams, Dave Niehaus was one of the best to ever do it and after his passing in 2010 the new group of guys may never be able to fill that void but man do those men and women calling games make even the most mundane of circumstances incredible

Who’s here in 2023 with a newfound resentment toward this club? Being an M’s fan is like having a kid strung out on heroin. Sure, things look up from time to time, but the relapse is inevitable.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. Life long A’s fan. I’ve lived in ATL for 12 years. To hear of the trade, it hurt. On the other hand, it’s laughable how much ATL fans cried over this, not realizing that they just won the trade. It’s just now that the fans are realizing what small market fans like I know. Maybe some of these “fans” need to watch more baseball

I come and watch this video nearly monthly, and bawl like a baby every time without fail. I know this video is now 3 years old, but I really wanted to come back and call out that, despite having watched hundreds of hours if video essays, both sports and Jon sports related, I have *never* seen a better combination of editing to music as your segment corresponding with Felix's perfect game. I could write a 3 page essay just about all the great cuts. The way you sync up all the key pitches to the beat. The emotional flow between the song and a material, the choices of rising and falling of the volume of the song as you interspersed graphics and commentary. It's truly masterful, and I'm eternally grateful. That game occurred at a very difficult time in my life. I had just graduated college in Tacoma, Washington, I was struggling with an extremely tough job I hated, I felt lost. I happened to be listening to Mariners radio that day around the 6th inning, and was lucky enough to have the time to stop in at my favorite bar and watch that final 2 innings on TV. It wasn't even a sports bar, the patrons were confused why I was bawling at 3 in the afternoon. It's a moment I'll never forget. And getting to relive those emotions through your video is just so powerful. Thank you.

I like your stuff. I do have some constructive criticism though....why so much effort on the production when the story is what carries it? All the transitions, graphics, clip montages set to music, they're really well done and all clear evidence that you're very talented. But it all feels...misplaced, at least when applied so heavily? For instance, if someone comes to a baseball video documentary and then sits through two music videos in the first 10 minutes, and the music is something so foreign sounding to your average "over 30 baseball fan watching things on youtube" demographic that it makes it hard to process all the sensory input at once, at that point there's a disconnect between expectations and results. I don't know how to really convey what i'm saying because I definitely don't want to sound like I dislike any of your particular choices or your video as a whole because I did like it. It just felt "tonally uneven?" It feels like you're close to finding "your voice" but need to keep making small adjustments to reach it. That sounds like something someone who criticizes stuff would say, I think. You made something beautiful and I don't want to take that away from you with my commentary. I just think that scaling your effort input to match the topic would be a better overall fit? Its just something to consider, and as long as you're happy doing what you're doing, keep doing it. There's no reason that, provided they stay respectful, I shouldnt give you my thoughts and there equally is no reason that you have to take them seriously.

Bro I have no recollection of you playing Newport little league at all. Lol I played little league with Lonnie and even was lucky enough to hit a Hr off Lonnie when I was 12. He was league age 11 even tho we graduated from high school together in 2006. I caught for him in middle school and high school and American legion. Not saying this didn’t actually happen but I don’t remember you in little league nor high school.
