Nice video. I do disagree with your recommendation on wheel chocks though. Those plastic wheel chocks are useless, as they easily slip on concrete. Solid rubber chocks are much, much better. Harbor Freight and Amazon both carry them.

the reflective layer should be installed first (to reflect heat out) then the styrofoam.

Great job on the video, Min. Such a well thought out comparison of products definitely takes time and energy. Kudos! It realy helped me to choose the Jasco for my project - restoring the finish on my 2000 lb 1969 Bridgeport milling machine.

Hey man, how’s it going with the cars? I was just wondering if you finally finished the projects. A 2 minute video with an update would go a long way. Just to have some closure with the series. I know documenting takes such a long time, but it would be cool just to know 🫡 I hope you’re doing well

I was able to very easily break loose the two bolts at 23:00 using a ratcheting 12mm box wrench. I then removed the bolts holding the power steering unit in place to move it out of the way to then fully remove those two bolts. It was still tricky to scrape off the seal though so I think I'll try to remove that piece of pipe anyways so it's easier to apply the new gasket and gasket maker to it. Also this video is great, Ive constantly been rewatching it while working on mine (it's been a few days from finding new things I should replace, waiting for parts, and making time to keep working on it).

The flap disc that you used was made out of zirconia. It is as different from the aluminum oxide ones as it is to ceramic ones . Ceramic flap discs remove mill scale fairly effortlessly. Also 3M scotch-brite is mostly known for their abrasives outside of the kitchen as opposed to in it.

When I was a young man I always wanted to buy a 280ZX and I just couldn't afford it and finally my dream came true and found one in a junkyard and bought it and now I have it in my shed ready to start working on it I'm also not experienced much in working on the engine or body work I do know how to weld and work with metal.

I just picked up an NB and found out pretty quick that lifting it isn't as easy as most cars and the body lift points are NOT strong enough for anything but emergency tire change lifting, they bend! The frame rails under the car are also pretty weak, even at the reinforced ends! Apparently the rear pumpkin is the proper rear lift point. I did not know that the subframe was the proper front lift point, so thanks for that tip!
@didier_vitesse2 күн бұрын
i feel you my jacking rails are fucking destroyed... But front and rear subframes are the strongest points, if you got a low profile jack. And i may weld proper jacking rails in the future

UK here🇬🇧. Choices here 'over the pond' are all rubbish. They either do nothing or change a very thin layer into horrible sticky chewing gum. Thick multiple layers as on a wooden banister? no chance. It may be a bad chemical but the 'modern' alternatives are just rubbish. A popular one was about as effective as mayonnaise. I took it back for a refund. This ridiculous over regulation also affects weedkillers. The latest ones are about as effective as harsh language. One day I fully expect these regulators to try to ban dangerous tools ..like screwdrivers!! And your reviews of the performance are far too 'kind'. My eyes say they are a total waste of time and money.

Having owned both, if you want more power, start off with a 1980's Porsche 928; they were designed with 300BHP in mind, and the driveline could handle much, much more without modification (MB 600 series transfer cases stock). There is a significant enthusiast group as well as specialist aftermarket supply of parts, you can start with about $10,000 and with a little work have a really nice, terrific handling, FAST sports car. I've owned both a 76 280Z and a 86 928, both were terrific, and could work on them both myself, as well as found mechanics who would do work I couldn't do for reasonable prices. But I would definitely go to the online forums and get to know the people who own both, before buying either to start with.

Great Video very detailed and straight forward. Being in South Florida we get the best also Luckily our door doesn't face total direct sun. I am a home improvement guy and anything to cool off the guarge is a win. Looks good to me I will end up doing something very close to this very soon. i would have to agree with what to tell the HOA. I can only speak for our zone if you didn't have an HOA fee and bank that money yearly when major improvements can up you would have plenty to cover it. I couldn't live in a HOA my home is my property and no one will tell me what color I paint my door. Plus I have a have 2 German Shepherd. You have a great setup keep the videos rolling Good Job well done.

I think that was probably not a good compaison to what the general person would use when working with paint remover. The first part you are working with is likely powder coat painted which is completely different than spray on paint. Powder caot paint is a powder that is electrically sprayed on and then backed on. It tends to much thicker and tougher than spray on paint.
