What's craziest about this stuff to me is the "refs" standing feet from the Knights wearing limited armor like they are totally safe. I get the fighters aren't necessarily that mobile. Just watched another 5 on 5 video. Insane lol. They need to have some small tower on the side of the battlefield where they can observe from and jump in if they need to. No way I would be on the inside of the wood

This needs to be altered to better represent history. The no stabbing is stupid, HEMA can stab because they have rolled tips, why not just use those weapons for duels in BUHURT? If the risk of penetrating the eye holes is a risk, which it wouldn't be with rolled tips really, then have the duellists use a fencing mask under the helmet, simple. Now you can stab and slash. Next you have a better points system. The HEMA rules are very unrepresented of fighting in armour. Instead of ending a round after a blow is struck, limit the round to a time limit like 15 to 20 seconds, this allows the constant blows of armoured duels. Then at the end of a round you don't have 2 mins of points to add up, you only have 15 seconds. Then you go again for round 2 ect. Also, have a points judge for each person. They tally up the points and compare it to the other. Have two sets of points, one for chest and head and another for arms and legs. Give 3 points to chest and head strikes and 1 point to arms and legs. Simple.

Well, I mean. There’s more weapons in buhurt than just the long sword. I doubt anyone would get away with anything less than a broken rib when some 100kg armoured behemoth charge stabs them in the chest with a poleaxe.
