A good modern replica longsword from Albion cost about a thousand dollars. A full suit of custom armor must cost ten or twenty thousand. Or am I wrong?

+Patrick Boyle you can get a good enough suit of armour for between 1500 and 5000 dollars. Look up Age of Craft, Sharukhan Market, Steel Mastery or Forge of Svan, for examples :)

Most people get their armor from "Steel Mastery" the armor usually runs about $6000ish.

i dont have any idea what is the point of this figth, i only see two guys beating each other without any intention of hurt their oponnet, i mean they have armor, in that case they should be figthing on half sword .

+manuel blake It looks like a very reasonable recreation of a real fight to me. If they fought with sharpened weapons. There would be fatalities.

+manuel blake There is some skill involved, since the number of hits you land matters. So if you are good at counter attacking and defense, you can outhit your opponent.

I hope you understand what half swording is becuse it was used to kill other knights. From what ive seen these tornament they have ban stabing so people dont go home in a body bag. If you need further explianing on how half swiring works look it up i thinck metatron did a good review of the technique.

That's like going to a boxing match and asking why they only hit each other with their fists instead of throwing kicks, making throws or using submission holds to really hurt their opponents. It's the rules of the sport.
