Thank you for this years vlogs! In the days of lockdown, vloggers were such a lifeline and made us all feel so much more connected! This year I personally am going to concentrate on fit. Slower sewing, less fabric purchases but garments I truly love in colours that suit me ( having had my colours done) . Looking forward to what comes next on your channel - here’s hoping for a happy healthy and prosperous 2022 for us all ❤️❤️

I’m making the Kersoe top today so your video is timely. For Casmirette patterns, I cut a size smaller at shoulders and neck to accommodate for that neck gap. It usually does the trick. I’ll let you know! Looking forward to future videos as I always enjoy them.

Hi Debs, Happy New Year, Changing a dress to a top is such a good idea, which I will do to a couple of my dresses to get more wear out of them. The purple jacket looks nice, my favourite colour is purple so it looks lovely to me. I really like refashioning and upcycling clothes, especially clothes from the opshops as it doesn't matter if you make a hash of it or don't like it, i just redonate it back, someone esle my like it.😊 I am looking forward to seeing your new channel. Morning from 🇦🇺 Debs, Happy New Year. Looking forward to your future videos. For me in 2022, I want to streamline my sewing more. Being a relatively new sewist, I’d like to start focusing on actual gaps in my wardrobe and sewing things I will actually wear! My skill level has progressed well during the previous 12mths to the point I received an overlocker for Christmas (my partner couldn’t wait so gave it to me in Sept!) and after a lot of trepidation I actually gave it a go and survived!!! My knives won’t be blunt in a hurry, I’ve disengaged them for the time being!!! Going in a straight line and understanding how it effects seam allowance is a big enough challenge for now 🤣🤣. The difference in my garments though is great! I feel more accomplished just in seeing those seams and finish. I discovered the world of YT vloggers last year and that has been a godsend so this year feels like a year for some kind of challenge. Like a make nine or something like that. Loving the channel, keep up the great work.

My sewing plans for 2022 are to focus on what I really need in my wardrobe, and also to focus on fit. I have gotten caught up in sew alongs or sewing challenges which are fun BUT....... not necessarily something I needed. So for starters I have some sweater knits in my stash that have been languishing for about 2 years now, so I think a cardigan will be my first project for 2022. Then, I desperately need some slips to wear under my dresses. I have the fabric in stash as well and will perhaps tackle that next. Beyond that my other goal is to sew down my stash! Love your vlogs... one of my favorites actually. I'll be interested to see what you change your vlog to. I'll have to admit that Slap Happy was my favorite part of your vlog title and is what attracted me to your vlog in the first place.! I hope you keep Slap Happy in your title.😁 Just my 2 cents!

Hi Deb, thank you for another refreshing vlog. I am wondering if you are aware of the work of Kibbe? He developed body types for women in the 1970s and I find the different types totally fascinating. Following his guidelines I have recast myself from a classic (a la Jackie Kennedy) to a gamine (eg Penelope Cruze). It is a much more fun type😆😆😆 with contrast and drama and staccato prints. When I look at your wonderful shoulders I think you could be in the Soft Dramatic type (a la Sophia Loren) - they have height and curves and look great in a T silhouette.
