In Malaysia the Boycot of Starbuck sent a very strong message. It boosted the sales of local business. So I repectfully dissagree. Boycotts do damage the very sources that fund the oppressors. If you are concerned that it effect you, then you have placed your trust in something other than Allah. And Allah is the best of providers.

هذه رد علمي على افتراءات زاهد الكوثري ضد ابن تيمية وابن القيم، وتشكيكه في موثوقيتهما. لا تغير الموضوع بمناقشة مسألة لا تفهم فيها شيئًا. • قال ابن كثير: دَخَلَ إِلَيْهِ الْقَاضِي جَمَالُ الدِّينِ بْنُ جُمْلَةَ، وَنَاصِرُ الدِّينِ مُشِدُّ الْأَوْقَافِ، وَسَأَلَاهُ عَنْ مَضْمُونِ قَوْلِهِ فِي مَسْأَلَةِ الزِّيَارَةِ، فَكَتَبَ ذَلِكَ فِي دَرَجٍ، وَكَتَبَ تَحْتَهُ قَاضِي الشَّافِعِيَّةِ بِدِمَشْقَ: قَابَلْتُ الْجَوَابَ عَنْ هَذَا السُّؤَالِ الْمَكْتُوبِ عَلَى خَطِّ ابْنِ تَيْمِيَّةَ فَصَحَّ. . . إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ: وَإِنَّمَا الْمَحَزُّ جَعَلُهُ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقُبُورِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِمْ - مَعْصِيَةً بِالْإِجْمَاعِ مَقْطُوعًا. فَانْظُرِ الْآنَ هَذَا التَّحْرِيفَ عَلَى شَيْخِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَإِنَّ جَوَابَهُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْمَسْأَلَةِ لَيْسَ فِيهِ مَنْعُ زِيَارَةِ قُبُورِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ، وَإِنَّمَا فِيهِ ذِكْرُ قَوْلَيْنِ فِي شَدِّ الرِّحَالِ وَالسَّفَرِ إِلَى مُجَرَّدِ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ، وَزِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَدِّ رَحْلٍ إِلَيْهَا مَسْأَلَةٌ، وَشَدُّ الرَّحْلِ لِمُجَرَّدِ الزِّيَارَةِ مَسْأَلَةٌ أُخْرَى، وَالشَّيْخُ لَمْ يَمْنَعِ الزِّيَارَةَ الْخَالِيَةَ عَنْ شَدِّ رَحْلٍ، بَلْ يَسْتَحِبُّهَا وَيَنْدُبُ إِلَيْهَا، وَكُتُبُهُ وَمَنَاسِكُهُ تَشْهَدُ بِذَلِكَ، وَلَمْ يَتَعَرَّضْ إِلَى هَذِهِ الزِّيَارَةِ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجْهِ فِي الْفُتْيَا، وَلَا قَالَ: إِنَّهَا مَعْصِيَةٌ، وَلَا حَكَى الْإِجْمَاعَ عَلَى الْمَنْعِ مِنْهَا، وَلَا هُوَ جَاهِلٌ بِقَوْلِ الرَّسُولِ ﷺ: «زُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُكُمُ الْآخِرَةَ». 📚 (البداية والنهاية ١٨/‏٢٧٠)

إن كان هذا رد علميا فلماذا تغاضيتم النظر عن تصريح الباقلاني في دقيقة 4:22 حيث قال: "الباري ليس في السماء و لا هو مستو على العرش" و هذه العبارة تناقض صريحا ما ساقه ابن القيم نقلا عن الباقلاني - في نظركم - في دقيقة 0:42 حيث قال "بل هو مستو على العرش". فأيهما أوثق عندكم؟ ما قاله القائل نفسه أم ما نقل عنه الناقل (و لا أضع عن منزلة ابن القيم )؟ و مما زاد الطين بلة: كيف عولتم على تحقيق مستشرق في إثبات معتقد المسلمين؟ أ تدري أن "MCCarthy" محقق نصراني نشأ في مدرسة نصرانية في أمريكا؟ و هل دخل في مخيلتكم أنه تذرع بعبارة ما ساقه ابن القيم لإثبات ما اعتقده هو في حلول الباري في سيدنا عيسى عليه السلام تعالى الله عن ذلك ؟ و الرجاء أن تجنب استعمال هذا القارئ الصناعي فقد أتى بهفوات تنبو عن السمع

@ridhwaanany7480 أولاً: إن القول الباقلاني لا يتناقض مع ما قاله في جزء آخر من كتابه لأنه أتبعه بعبارة "بمعنى حلوله على العرش". أهل السنة لا يعتقدون بالحلول، لذلك لا يوجد تناقض. ثانياً: المخطوطات التي استخدمها مكارثي ذُكرت في بداية الكتاب. مخطوط باريس: هو من «مجموعة شفر» للمكتبة الأهلية، المرقم عربي ١٦٠٩٠). سماه در نبورغ «عجيبة من عجائب مجموعة شفر»، وحقا هو مخطوط سني، وفيه ٩٨ ورقة (١٩٦ صفحة) مخطوط آيا صوفيا: هو المرقم ۲۲۰۱، وفيه ٢٥٥ ورقة (٥١٠ صفحات)، ۱۹×۵ و ۱۰ سنتيمترا، وفي كل صفحة ٢٠ سطرا. وخطه نسخي قديم غير جميل، لعله ليس لناسخ واحد. مخطوط مصطفى عاطف افندي: هو المرقم ١٢٢٣، وفيه ٢٤٧ ورقة (٤٩٤ صفحة (حسب ترقيم الأوراق، وإن لم توجد فيه ورقة مرقمة بالرقم ٩٠ الخطأ في الترقيم نتج من اختلاط في ترتيب الأوراق إذا كنت تدعي أن هناك أي تزوير - كما اتهم زاهد الكوثري ابن القيم - فأنت مرحب بك للتحقيق في المخطوطات بنفسك. ثالثاً: بالإضافة إلى معرفة ابن تيمية الواسعة بجميع الفرق والطوائف، فإن مكتبة ابن القيم الواسعة التي لا يستطيع أحد من زمانه مجاراتها، ليست شيئاً مخفياً. • قال الصفدي: وَمَا جَمَعَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الكُتُبِ مَا جَمَعَ؛ لأَنَّ عُمْرَهُ أَنْفَقَهُ فِي تَحْصِيْلِ ذلِكَ، وَلَمَّا مَاتَ شَيْخُنَا فَتْحُ الدِّيْنِ اشْتَرَى مِنْ كُتُبِهِ أُمَّهَاتٍ وَأُصُوْلًا كِبَارًا جَيِّدَةً، وَكَانَ عِنْدَهُ مِن كُلِّ شَيءٍ فِي غيْرِ مَا فَنٍّ وَلَا مَذْهَبٍ بِكُلِّ كِتَابٍ نُسَخٌ عَدِيْدَةٌ مِنْهَا مَا هُوَ جَيِّدٌ نَظِيْفٌ، وَغَالِبُهَا مِنَ الكَرَنْدَاتِ «كَذَا؟!» وَأَقَامَ أَوْلَادُهُ شُهُوْرًا يَبِيْعُونَ مِنْهَا غَيْرَ مَا اصطَفَوْهُ لِأَنْفُسِهمْ. 📚 (أعيان العصر وأعوان النصر ٤/‏٣٦٨) • قال ابن كثير: مَعَ ولَهُ مِنَ التَّصانِيفِ الكِبارِ والصِّغارِ شَيْءٌ كَثِيرٌ، وكَتَبَ بِخَطِّهِ الحَسَنِ شَيْئًا كَثِيرًا، واقْتَنى مِنَ الكُتُبِ ما لا يَتَهَيَّأُ لِغَيْرِهِ تَحْصِيلُ عُشْرِهِ مِن كُتُبِ السَّلَفِ والخَلَفِ، وبِالجُمْلَةِ كانَ قَلِيلَ النَّظِيرِ، بَلْ عَدِيمَ النَّظِيرِ فِي مَجْمُوعِهِ، وأُمُورِهِ، وأحْوالِهِ، والغالِبُ عَلَيْهِ الخَيْرُ والأخْلاقُ الصّالِحَةُ، سامَحَهُ اللَّهُ ورَحِمَهُ 📚 (البداية والنهاية ١٨/‏٥٢٤) • قال ابن رجب الحنبلي: وصَنَّفَ تَصَانِيْفَ كَثِيْرَةً جِدًّا فِي أَنْوَاعِ العِلْمِ، وَكَانَ شَدِيْدَ المَحَبَّةِ لِلْعِلْمِ، وَكِتَابَتِهِ وَمُطَالَعَتهِ، وَتَصْنِيْفِهِ، وَاقْتِنَاءِ الكُتُبِ، وَاقْتَنَى مِنَ الكُتُبِ مَا لَمْ يَحْصُلْ لِغَيْرِهِ 📚 (ذيل طبقات الحنابلة ٥/‏١٧٤) • ابن حجر العسقلاني: وكانَ مغرى بِجمع الكتب فَحصل مِنها ما لا يحصر حَتّى كانَ أوْلاده يبيعون مِنها بعد مَوته دهرا طَويلا سوى ما اصطفوه مِنها لأنْفُسِهِمْ 📚 (الدرر الكامنة في أعيان المائة الثامنة ٥/‏١٣٨)

I have a question brother are there allegorical verses in the quran because verse 3:7 says It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

What does that have to do with allegorical verses? Just says unspecific. Meaning verses that can have multiple meanings/different rulings if someone takes only that verse without going to other specific verses.

My dear brother, don’t you see how many times Allah and his messenger ﷺ refutes falsehood? In the Kalimah alone there is a refutation of false deities. And that is because Truth involves refuting what is false and affirming what is true. And we are not a cult, we are a people who follow the Quran and sunnah just exactly as the companions followed it إن شاء الله Hope that clarifies things, May Allah reward you جزاك الله خيرا

No virtuous person would speak to him about a subject except that he thought that subject was his (Ibn Taymīyyah’s) field of expertise. He was ḥāfiẓ in ḥadīth, distinguishing between the authentic and weak, knowing the narrators and being well versed in that, and he has many authorships and commentaries. His verdicts are satiated in the sub-branches and foundations, topping it up with Fiqh and Ḥadīth, and refuting innovations with the Qurʾān and Sunnah.❞* وكان إماما في التفسير، وعلوم القرآن، عارفا بالفقه واختلاف الفقهاء، والأصلين والنحو وما يتعلق به، واللغة والمنطق، وعلم الهيئة والجبر والمقابلة وعلم الحساب، وعلم أهل الكتابين وأهل البدع، وغير ذلك من العلوم النقلية والعقلية، وما تكلم معه فاضل في فن من الفنون إلا ظن أن ذلك الفنّ فنّه، وكان حفظة للحديث مميّزا بين صحيحه وسقيمه، عارفا برجاله متضلعا من ذلك، وله تصانيف كثيرة وتعاليق مفيدة، وفتاوى مشبعة في الفروع والأصول كمل منها جملة في الفقه والحديث وردّ البدع بالكتاب والسنة 📚 (Masālik al-Abṣār Fī Mamālik al-Amṣār 5/340) • Abū al-Muẓaffar al-Sarmarī said: *❝And from the amazing matters regarding memorisation in our time is Shaykh al-Islām Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad Ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥalīm Ibn Taymīyyah. Since he would come across a book and would look over it once only after which it would be inscribed in his mind. He would be able to discuss it thereafter, narrating from it in his written works with its precise wording and meaning.❞* ومن عجائب ما وقع فِي الحِفْظ فِي أهل زَماننا شيخ الاسلام أبُو العَبّاس أحْمد بن عبد الحَلِيم ابْن تَيْمِية فَإنَّهُ كانَ يمر بِالكتاب فيطالعه مرّة فينتقش فِي ذهنه فيذاكر بِهِ وينقله فِي مصنفاته بِلَفْظِهِ ومَعْناهُ 📚 (Al-Radd al-Wāfir p. 234-235) • Ibn ʿAbd al-Hādī said: *❝Ibn Taymīyyah wrote books, fatāwā, answers [to questions], essays and other useful material, and it is difficult to know about it all. I do not know anyone among the earlier or later generations who wrote as much as he did or even came close. He wrote most of his books from memory, and he authored many of them in prison, where he did not have what he needed of books.❞* وللشيخ من المصنفات والفتاوى والقَواعِد والأجوبة والرسائل وغير ذَلِك من الفَوائِد مالا يَنْضَبِط ولا أعلم أحدا من مُتَقَدِّمي الأمة ولا متأخريها جمع مثل ما جمع ولا صنف نَحْو ما صنف ولا قَرِيبا من ذَلِك. مَعَ أن أكثر تصانيفه إنَّما أملاها من حفظه وكثير مِنها صنفه فِي الحَبْس ولَيْسَ عِنْده ما يحْتاج إلَيْهِ من الكتب. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 37) • Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī said: *❝He approached the Tafsīr of the Qurʾān al-Karīm and excelled in it, along with mastering Uṣūl al-Fiqh, inheritance laws, algebra and muqābalah, then he looked at ʿIlm al-Kalām and Philosophy, and excelled above its own people in it, and refuted their heads and elders.❞* وَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى تَفْسِيْرِ القُرْآنِ الكَرِيْمِ، فَبَرَزَ فِيْهِ، وَأَحْكَمَ أُصُوْلَ الفِقْهِ، وَالفَرَائِضَ، وَالحِسَابَ، وَالجَبْرَ والمُقَابَلَةَ، وَغَيْرَ ذلِكَ مِنَ العُلُوْمِ، وَنَظَرَ فِي عِلْمِ الكَلَامِ وَالفَلْسَفَةِ، وَبَرَزَ فِي ذلِكَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ، وَرَدَّ عَلَى رُؤُسَائِهِمْ وَأَكَابِرِهِمْ، وَمَهَرَ فِي هَذِهِ الفَضَائِلِ 📚 (Al-Dhayl ʿAlā Ṭabaqāt al-Ḥanābilah 4/494) • Ibn Sayyid al-Nās said: *❝And if he was to talk about the various religions and factions, no one who was more vast in knowledge or greater in meticulousness could be seen. He surpassed his contemporaries in every science, and my eyes have not seen the likes of him, and nor have his eyes seen the likes of himself.❞* أو حاضر بالنحل والملل لم تَرَ أوسع من نحلته ولا أرفع من درايته برز فِي كل فن على أبناء جنسه، لم تَرَ عَيْني مثله ولا رَأتْ عينه مثل نَفسه. 📚 (Muʾjam al-Mukhtaṣ al-Muḥaddithīn, al-Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 26-27, al-Durar al-Kāminah 1/183) • Abū Ḥafṣ al-Bazzār said: *❝There was rarely a book in the sciences of Islām except that he would come across it, and Allāh had blessed him with an ability to quickly memorise and rarely forget. He would hardly come across or hear something except that it would remain in his memory, either in wording or meaning. It was as if knowledge had become infused in his flesh, blood, and entire body. He did not merely take pieces of knowledge here and there. Rather, he had complete understanding and comprehension, and was amongst the most outstanding people in virtue and excellence. Allāh tasked him with what would normally destroy anyone else, led him to joy and happiness in all aspects of his life, and made the effects of his leadership from the clearest of signs to all, to the point that everyone with a bit of intelligence agreed that he is from those that the Prophet ﷺ was referring to when he said: “Indeed Allāh sends at the beginning of every century he who will revive for this Ummah the affair of its religion,” as Allāh has revived through him the laws of this Religion that had long been forgotten, and made him a proof upon all the people of his era, and praise is to Allāh, the Lord of the worlds.❞* وقل كتاب من فنون العلم إلّا وقف عَلَيْهِ وكانَ الله قد خصّه بِسُرْعَة الحِفْظ وإبطاء النسْيان لم يكن يقف على شَيْء أو يستمع لشَيْء غالِبا الا ويبقى على خاطره أما بِلَفْظِهِ أو مَعْناهُ وكانَ العلم كَأنَّهُ قد اخْتَلَط بِلَحْمِهِ ودَمه وسائره فَإنَّهُ لم يكن لَهُ مستعارا بل كانَ لَهُ شعارا ودثارا لم يزل آباؤه أهل الدِّرايَة التّامَّة والنقد والقدم الراسخة فِي الفضل لَكِن جمع الله لَهُ ما خرق بِمثلِهِ العادة ووفقه فِي جَمِيع أمره لإعلام السَّعادَة وجعل مآثره لإمامته من اكبر شَهادَة حَتّى اتّفق كل ذِي عقل سليم انه مِمَّن عني نَبينا ﷺ بقوله أن الله يبْعَث على رَأس كل مئة سنة من يجدد لهَذِهِ الأمة أمر دينها فَلَقَد احيا الله بِهِ ما كانَ قد درس من شرائع الدّين وجعله حجَّة على أهل عصره أجْمَعِينَ والحَمْد لله رب العالمين 📚 (Al-Aʾlām al-ʿAlīyyah Fī Manāqib Ibn Taymīyyah pp. 22)

• Abū Ḥafṣ al-Bazzār said: *❝And from the most amazing things that occurred is that during his first trial in Egypt, he was taken and jailed such that he was prevented from having access to his books. During this time, he authored many books - small and large - and mentioned in them a great number of aḥādīth, narrations, statements of the scholars, names of the scholars of ḥadīth, authors and their works, and he attributed each of these to their proper sources, specifically by name. He also mentioned the names of the books in which each narration was found, as well as where in the books to find them. All of this was purely from his memory, as at the time he did not have a single book with him to use as a reference. These books were then published and looked over, and praise be to Allāh - not a single mistake was found in any of them, nor did anything need to be changed in them.❞* وَمن أعجب الْأَشْيَاء فِي ذَلِك أَنه فِي محنته الأولى بِمصْر لما أَخذ وسجن وحيل بَينه وَبَين كتبه صنف عدَّة كتب صغَارًا وكبارا وَذكر فِيهَا مَا احْتَاجَ إِلَى ذكره من الْأَحَادِيث والْآثَار وأقوال الْعلمَاء وَأَسْمَاء الْمُحدثين والمؤلفين ومؤلفاتهم وَعزا كل شئ من ذَلِك إِلَى ناقليه وقائليه بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ وَذكر أَسمَاء الْكتب الَّتِي ذكر فِيهَا وَأي مَوضِع هُوَ مِنْهَا كل ذَلِك بديهة من حفظه لِأَنَّهُ لم يكن عِنْده حِينَئِذٍ كتاب يطالعه ونقبت واختبرت واعتبرت فَلم يُوجد فِيهَا بِحَمْد الله خلل وَلَا تغير 📚 (Al-Aʾlām al-ʿAlīyyah Fī Manāqib Ibn Taymīyyah p. 24-25) • Al-Dhahabī said: *❝And his knowledge of fiqh and the opinions of the Ṣaḥābah and Tābiʾīn - let alone the four madhhabs - is unparalleled. With regard to knowledge of sects and groups, the fundamentals of faith (uṣūl) and kalām, I do not know of anyone who could rival him.❞* وأما نَقله للفقه ومذاهب الصَّحابَة والتّابِعِينَ فضلا عَن المذاهب الأرْبَعَة فَلَيْسَ لَهُ فِيهِ نَظِير وأما مَعْرفَته بالملل والنحل والأُصُول والكَلام فَلا أعلم لَهُ فِيهِ نظيرا 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 33) • Al-Ṣafadī said: *❝As for the various religions and factions, and the statements of the original heads of innovation, and knowing the heads of the different schools of thought, and knowing that which they were unique in from the revelations and blessings, he was a surging ocean and a shooting arrow not missing its target.❞* وأما الملل والنحل، ومقالات أرباب البدع الأُول، ومعرفةُ أرباب المذاهب، وما خصوا به من الفتوحات والمواهب، فكان بحرًا يتموج، وسهمًا ينفذ على السواء لا يتعوج. 📚 (Aʾyān al-ʿAṣr wa-Aʾwān al-Naṣr 1/235) • Maḥmūd Shukrī al-Alūsī said in response to the slander of Yūsuf al-Nabhānī: *❝What we mentioned earlier, as well as the praise from scholars and prominent ḥadīth narrators who consider him among the greatest preservers of ḥadīth, necessitates the dismissal of what al-Nabhãnī mentioned about disregarding his transmission. He is a trustworthy and truthful narrator, acknowledged by both his supporters and opponents, with no disagreement on this matter. In fact, ḥadīth scholars have said: “Any ḥadīth that Ibn Taymīyyah does not recognize is not a ḥadīth.” Look at this great status and high degree of truthfulness.❞* أن ما ذكرناه سابقًا بل ويأتي أيضًا من ثناء أهل العلم وأكابر المحدثين وعدهم له من أكابر الحفاظ يستوجب سقوط ما ذكره النبهاني من عدم اعتبار نقله، وهو الثقة الصدوق، شهد له بذلك أحباؤه وخصومه، ولم يخالف في ذلك أحد، حتى إن علماء الحديث قالوا: كل حديث لا يعرفه ابن تيمية فهو ليس بحديث، فانظر إلى هذه المنزلة العظيمة والدرجة العليا من الصدق 📚 (Ghāyat al-Amānī Fī al-Radd ʿAlā al-Nabhānī 1/487)

al-Imam Ghulam al-Khallal (Abu bakr bin ’Abdul ’Aziz) {d. 363 AH} is the student of al-Imam al-Khallal, he has his own books like “al-Sunnah” which is lost unfortunately (a small portion of which has been printed alongside “al-Sunnah” by al-Imam al-Khallal tahqiq ‘Adel al-Hamdan) there is also another book of his which has been printed recently called “Zaad al-Musafir” which is on the fiqh of Imam Ahmad. Ghulam Khalil (Ahmad bin Muhammad) {d. 275 AH} Is someone else.

• Shams al-Dīn al-Dhahabī said: *❝The Imām, the ʿAllāmah, the Memoriser, the Jurist, the Shaykh of the Ḥanābilah and their scholar, Abū Bakr Aḥmad Ibn Muḥammad Ibn Hārūn Ibn Zayd al-Baghdādī al-Khallāl.* الإِمَامُ، العَلاَّمَةُ، الحَافِظُ الفَقِيْهُ، شَيْخُ الحَنَابِلَةِ وَعَالِمُهُم، أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بنُ مُحَمَّدِ بنِ هَارُوْنَ بن يَزِيْدَ البَغْدَادِيُّ الخَلاَّل. *He was born in the year 233H or in the year following it. It is possible that he personally met Imām Aḥmad, but he acquired his deep understanding of jurisprudence from many of Imām Aḥmad’s companions and studied under Abū Bakr al-Marūdhī.* وُلِدَ: فِي سَنَةِ أَرْبَعٍ وَثَلاَثِيْنَ وَمائَتَيْنِ، أَوْ فِي الَّتِي تلِيهَا، فيجوزُ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ رَأَى الإِمَام أَحْمَد، وَلَكِنَّهُ أَخذ الفِقْه عَنْ خلقٍ كَثِيْرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابه، وَتلمذ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ المَرُّوْذِيّ. *He travelled to various regions, including Persia, Shām, and the Jazīrah, to acquire the jurisprudence of Imām Aḥmad and his legal opinions. He wrote extensively about both the senior and junior scholars and even compiled the responses and questions of his students. He undertook the monumental task of compiling the book “al-Jāmiʾ Fī al-Fiqh” based on the sayings of Imām Aḥmad, which spans 20 volumes. He also authored the book “al-ʿIlal” from Aḥmad in 3 volumes. Additionally, he composed the book “al-Sunnah wa-Alfāẓ Aḥmad” in 3 volumes, all of which attest to his leadership and profound knowledge. Before him, no one had independently compiled Imām Aḥmad’s jurisprudential opinions. He meticulously gathered, documented, and verified these opinions after 300H. May Allāh, the Most High, have mercy upon him.❞* وَرَحَلَ إِلَى فَارس، وَإِلَى الشَّامِ، وَالجَزِيْرَة يتطلَّب فِقْهَ الإِمَام أَحْمَد وَفتَاويَه وَأَجوبته، وَكَتَبَ عَنِ الكِبَار وَالصِّغَار، حَتَّى كتب عَنْ تَلاَمِذَتِهِ، وَجمع فَأَوعَى، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ صَنَّف كِتَاب (الجَامِع فِي الفِقْه) مِنْ كَلاَم الإِمَام، بِأَخْبَرَنَا وَحَدَّثَنَا، يَكُوْن عِشْرِيْنَ مُجَلَّدًا، وَصَنَّفَ كِتَاب (الْعِلَل) عَنْ أَحْمَدَ فِي ثَلاَث مُجَلَّدَات، وَأَلف كِتَاب (السُّنَّة، وَأَلْفَاظ أَحْمَد، وَالدليل عَلَى ذَلِكَ مِنَ الأَحَادِيْث) فِي ثَلاَث مُجَلَّدَات، تَدُلُّ عَلَى إِمَامته وَسَعَة عِلْمِهِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ قبلَه لِلإِمَام مَذْهَبٌ مستقلٌ، حَتَّى تتبَّع هُوَ نُصُوص أَحْمَد، وَدوَّنهَا، وَبَرْهَنَهَا بَعْد الثَّلاَث مائَة، فَرَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى. 📚 (Siyar Aʾlām al-Nubalāʾ 14/297-298) • Al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī said: *❝He was among those who devoted attention to gathering the knowledge of Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal and seeking it. He travelled for this purpose and documented his works both extensively and concisely. He authored books and was unparalleled in embracing the teachings of Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal to such an extent.❞* وكَانَ ممن صرف عناية إِلَى الجمع لعلوم أَحْمَد بْن حَنْبَل وطلبِهَا، وسافر لأجلها، وكتبِهَا عالية ونازلة، وصنفها كتبا، ولم يكن فِيمن ينتحل مذهب أَحْمَد أجمع منه لذلك. 📚 (Tārīkh Baghdād 6/300) • Ibn Kathīr said: *❝Al-Khallāl, Aḥmad Ibn Muḥammad Ibn Hārūn, Abū Bakr al-Khallāl, was the author of the book “al-Jāmiʾ li-ʿUlūm al-Imām Aḥmad” (The Compendium of the Knowledge of Imām Aḥmad). No other book on the school of Imam Ahmad compares to this one. He heard ḥadīth from al-Ḥasan Ibn ʿArafah, Saʾdan Ibn Naṣr, and others. He passed away on Friday before the prayer, on the second day of Rabīʾ al-Awwal.❞* الْخَلَّالُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ، أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْخَلَّالُ صَاحِبُ كِتَابِ «الْجَامِعِ لِعُلُومِ الْإِمَامِ أَحْمَدَ» وَلَمْ يُصَنَّفْ فِي مَذْهَبِ الْإِمَامِ أَحْمَدَ مَثْلُ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ، وَقَدْ سَمِعَ الْحَدِيثَ مِنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَرَفَةَ وَسَعْدَانَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ وَغَيْرِهِمَا. وَكَانَتْ وَفَاتُهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ لِيَوْمَيْنِ مَضَيَا مِنْ رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ مِنْهَا. 📚 (Al-Bidāyah wal-Nihāyah 15/7) • Ibn al-Qayyim said: *❝Look at Aḥmad’s statements and his explicit texts ... you will find them without end.* وانظُرْ مَقَالَةَ أحْمَدٍ ونُصُوصَهُ ... في ذَاكَ تَلْقَاهَا بلَا حُسْبَانِ *They all clearly assert His highness ... and the rising and elevation of the Most Merciful.* فَجَمِيعُهَا قَدْ صَرَّحَتْ بعُلُوهِ ... وبِالاِسْتِوَا والفَوْقِ للرَّحْمنِ *He has explicit texts that did not occur ... for others among the champions of this matter.* ولهُ نصُوصٌ وَارِدَاتٌ لَم تَقَعْ ... لِسِوَاهُ مِنْ فُرْسَانِ هَذَا الشَّانِ *As he was tested by the enemies of hadith ... and the adherents of negation and disbelief.* إذْ كَانَ مُمْتَحَنًا بأعْدَاءِ الحَدِيـ ... ـثِ وَشِيعَةِ التعْطِيلِ والكُفْرَانِ *If you want his explicit texts, then look at ... what al-Khallal, the master of precision, has narrated.❞* وإذا أرَدْتَ نُصُوصَهُ فانْظُر إلَى ... مَا قَدْ حَكَى الخَلالُ ذُو الإتْقَانِ 📚 (Al-Nūnīyyah p. 86) • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said: *❝Al-Khallāl mentioned it in “Kitāb al-Sunnah”, which is a comprehensive book that includes Aḥmad’s statements on matters of religious fundamentals (creed), even though he has additional statements beyond what is in it, just as his “Kitāb al-ʿIlm” is a comprehensive book that includes Aḥmad’s statements on the principles of jurisprudence.❞* ذَكَرَهَا الْخَلَّالُ فِي كِتَابِ «السُّنَّةِ» - وَهُوَ أَجْمَعَ كِتَابٍ يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ أَقْوَالُ أَحْمَد فِي مَسَائِلِ الْأُصُولِ الدِّينِيَّةِ وَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ أَقْوَالٌ زَائِدَةٌ عَلَى مَا فِيهِ كَمَا أَنَّ كِتَابَهُ فِي الْعِلْمِ أَجْمَعَ كِتَابٍ يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ أَقْوَالُ أَحْمَد فِي الْأُصُولِ الْفِقْهِيَّةِ. 📚 (Majmūʾ al-Fatāwā 7/390) • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said: *❝And Abū Bakr al-Khallāl travelled extensively and compiled about 40 volumes of his (Aḥmad’s) texts on jurisprudential issues, his death left behind numerous matters not contained within his books. As for what he gathered from his texts, it includes religious fundamentals (creed) such as “Kitāb al-Sunnah”, comprising about 3 volumes, and principles of jurisprudence and ḥadīth, such as “Kitāb al-ʿIlm”, where he collected discussions on the defects of aḥādīth. Similar to “Kitāb al-ʿIlal”, he [also] compiled his discussions on matters related to hearts, ethics, and manners, as well as discussions on men and history. Despite its abundance, it did not encompass all that people narrated from him (Aḥmad).❞* ‎«وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ الْخَلَّالُ» قَدْ طَافَ الْبِلَادَ وَجَمَعَ مِنْ نُصُوصِهِ فِي مَسَائِلِ الْفِقْهِ نَحْوَ أَرْبَعِينَ مُجَلَّدًا وَفَاتَهُ أُمُورٌ كَثِيرَةٌ لَيْسَتْ فِي كُتُبِهِ وَأَمَّا مَا جَمَعَهُ مِنْ نُصُوصِهِ فَمِنْ أُصُولِ الدِّينِ مِثْلَ: «كِتَابِ السُّنَّةِ» نَحْوَ ثَلَاثِ مُجَلَّدَاتٍ وَمِثْلَ أُصُولِ الْفِقْهِ وَالْحَدِيثِ مِثْلَ «كِتَابِ الْعِلْمِ» الَّذِي جَمَعَهُ مِنْ الْكَلَامِ عَلَى عِلَلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ مِثْلَ «كِتَابِ الْعِلَلِ» الَّذِي جَمَعَهُ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ فِي «أَعْمَالِ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْأَخْلَاقِ وَالْأَدَبِ» وَمِنْ كَلَامِهِ فِي «الرِّجَالِ وَالتَّارِيخِ» فَهُوَ مَعَ كَثْرَتِهِ لَمْ يَسْتَوْعِبْ مَا نَقَلَهُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ. 📚 (Majmūʾ al-Fatāwā 34/111-112)
