As a compliment to this video, here is a list of books that Ḥāfiẓ al-Ḥakamī authored. 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: *1) Sullam al-Wuṣūl Ilā ʿIlm al-Uṣūl* This is a poetic composition composed of 200 verses. This work is a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of religion, their levels, and their virtues. The Shaykh explained this poem, titling it “Maʾārij al-Qubūl”. *2) Maʾārij al-Qubūl* An extensive commentary on “Sullam al-Wuṣūl Ilā ʿIlm al-Uṣūl”. It has been printed multiple times and is considered one of the major references for scholars engaged in advanced studies of creed (ʿaqīdah). It is a unique and inclusive book within its subject matter, unparalleled by contemporary authors or those who came after him. *3) Aʾlām al-Sunnah al-Manshūr li-Iʾtiqād al-Ṭāʾifah al-Manṣūrah* It follows a question-and-answer format and covers the pure Islamic creed. It contains essential knowledge that every Muslim, male or female, should understand and act upon. Through reading this book and those who preceded it, one can learn the Shaykh’s Salafī creed, which Allāh has honoured him with. Understanding it in the proper and accepted manner as known among the predecessors of this Ummah in various fields of knowledge is highly recommended. *4) Al-Jawharah al-Farīdah Fī Taḥqīq al-ʿAqīdah* A poetic composition that offers a comprehensive understanding and explanation of the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʾah, both in the past and the present. It provides clear and straightforward refutations of those with deviant beliefs, misguided tendencies, and harmful principles. *5) Dalīl Arbāb al-Falāḥ li-Taḥqīq Fan al-Iṣṭilāḥ* An excellent work on the science of ḥadīth terminology, encompassing various aspects of this significant field. It is among the best writings on this subject, considering the terminologies of ḥadīth, because the knowledge of the Prophet’s Sunnah ﷺ is not entirely clear without the comprehensive understanding that ḥadīth terminology provides. This involves distinguishing authentic from weak narrations and strong from weak chains of transmission. The book follows a question-and-answer format. *6) Al-Lūʾlūʾ al-Maknūn Fī Aḥwāl al-Asānīd wal-Mutūn* A unique poem in the field of terminology, encompassing various rules and guidelines related to the chain of transmission (isnād) and the text (matn) of hadith, including the levels of authentication (taʾdīl) and criticism (jarḥ), forms of narration (ʿibārah), and other aspects of this art. *7) Matn Lāmīyat al-Mansūkh* A poem that presents numerous examples of abrogated and abrogating texts from the Qurʾān and Sunnah. It clearly identifies the abrogated text and points to the abrogating one, offering precise expression and clear representation. *8) Subul al-Sawīyah li-Fiqh al-Sunan wal-Marwīyyah* This blessed poem can undoubtedly be considered a significant dictionary of the noble Sunnah. In it, the Shaykh discusses various topics, including acts of worship, interactions, ethics, etiquettes, spiritual insights, and more, using both encouragement and warning. Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī was able to provide a comprehensive explanation in six volumes (2nd picture), while maintaining conciseness and simplicity during its composition. The poem has gained acceptance among diligent students of knowledge, both young and old, who appreciate its value. Its acceptance is due to its comprehensive coverage of sound Islāmic jurisprudence, presenting legal rulings, differences of opinion, and clear, scholarly evidence based on the Quran and authentic Sunnah. I do not claim perfection for it, for absolute perfection belongs only to the words of Allah, the Exalted, and what is authentically reported from His noble Prophet. *9) Wasīlah al-Ḥuṣūl Ilā Muhimmat al-Uṣūl (Poetry)* In this work, the Shaykh discusses definitions of the fundamentals of Islāmic jurisprudence, including prescriptive and situational rulings, tools for understanding meanings, the principles of legal evidence from the Qurʾān and Sunnah, and various aspects of communicative styles such as commands, prohibitions, explicit wording, inferred meaning, general and specific wording, unconditional and conditional statements, implicit and explicit statements, decisive and ambiguous texts, abrogating and abrogated texts, and more. The work concludes with sections on analogy (qiyās), independent reasoning (ijtihād), and issuing legal opinions (fatwā), all in an accessible poetic format. *10) Nayl al-Sūl Min Tārīkh al-Umam wa-Sīrat al-Rasūl (Poetry)* This blessed poem begins with the creation of the universe, the wisdom behind the creation of beings, and the divine message of Prophet Ibrāhīm, among other great prophets and noble messengers. It explains their high stations. Alongside this, it describes the heinous conditions of the pre-Islāmic era (Jāhilīyyah) and then highlights the emergence of the blessed new life, a life of honour, happiness, sovereignty, and leadership under the divine law brought by our Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, shining brilliantly. In this poem, the events and stories that unfolded under the leadership of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, with his companions, the Emigrants and the Helpers, are elaborated upon. This includes the lessons, sermons, and profound insights. The discussion continues at length until it concludes with the mention of the great calamity, the most significant tragedy: the illness of our noble chosen one, our Messenger Muḥammad ﷺ, the trustworthy advisor. May the finest blessings and peace be upon him. It then moves to his departure to the highest companionship in the presence of the Merciful and Compassionate Lord. Verily, to Allāh we belong and to Him is our return. *11) Al-Manẓūmat al-Mīmīyyah Fī al-Waṣāyā wal-Ādāb al-ʿIlmīyyah* This poem is a highly beneficial work containing a multitude of benefits. It carries the essence of Islamic upbringing and encourages the diligent pursuit of noble Islamic knowledge. It emphasises sincerity in seeking knowledge, teaching it, and inviting others to it. Through this poem, may Allāh have mercy on the author, he provides clear and sound evidence, demonstrating the importance of acquiring religious knowledge with unambiguous proofs and solid arguments.

*12) Advice to the Brothers Regarding Qāt, Shammah, and Tobacco* In this poem, the Shaykh offers sincere advice to those who have been ensnared by harmful substances such as Qāt (a stimulant plant), Shammah, and tobacco, all of which contain toxic elements that only appeal to those whose nature has been corrupted and whose behaviour deviates from that of a rational and thoughtful human. Only those who are deluded by the devil and have been deceived into thinking that their actions are commendable would defend these substances and doubt their harm. By reading this poem and the response to it by some who are infatuated with these harmful habits, the reader can discern the rights and clear arguments that the Shaykh had on his side, and the false arguments sent by his opponents who were deluded by their desires and strayed from the path of truth and its Sunnah. Truly, the truth has its advocates, callers, and protectors, while falsehood has its supporters, promoters, and advocates. O Allāh, make us among those who wage war against the advocates, promoters, and callers of falsehood. *13) Al-Qaṣīdah al-Hāʾīyyah Fī al-Targhīb wal-Tarhīb* A didactic poem, urging and admonishing, emphasising the priority of the eternal over the temporal, and the readiness for a true encounter with the Almighty. This is achieved through the struggle against the lower self, its desires, and the temptations of the devil, until one steadfastly adheres to obedience, the source of honour and happiness, while avoiding disobedience, which leads to humiliation, disgrace, repulsion, and wretchedness. It also addresses the warning against being beguiled by the world and prioritising it over the Hereafter. It elucidates the unfortunate fate of those who have fallen prey to the pleasures of this worldly life and have become complacent with it, neglecting the greater purpose for which they were created, as conveyed through the words of our Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. The poem kindles the desires of tranquil souls with descriptions of paradise, the abode of perfection, beauty, eternity, and perpetual illumination, as delineated by its Creator in His Noble Book and by His servant and Messenger, Muḥammad, the leader of the early and later generations. I am truly grateful to Allāh for granting me the ability to provide a concise commentary on this poem, including the prose explanation of its verses, and highlighting its content, drawn from the Qurʾānic verses and the teachings of the trustworthy Prophet ﷺ and his companions. It has been printed at the expense of the Ḥaṭṭīn Club in the city of Ṣāmitah. May Allāh reward all those who contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and be the key to its gates, with the best of rewards in the Hereafter and the first life. *14) Risālat al-Nūr al-Fāʾiḍ Min Shams al-Waḥī Fī ʿIlm al-Farāʾiḍ* While it is concise in comparison to the extensive works on this subject, it is comprehensive in addressing its issues and consolidating its principles. It covers a variety of regulations that clarify the methods of dividing inheritances and provides numerous examples to elucidate the rules of this noble science, which Allāh entrusted with the distribution of inheritances and did not delegate to any of His creation. May Allāh reward him with the best of rewards, elevate his status highly among the righteous and the martyrs. 𝐔𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐬: The Shaykh has several handwritten manuscripts of his works, some of which may be printed in the future: *1) Amālī Fī al-Sīrah* • Shaykh Zayd Ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī said: ❝This is a prophetic biography that was dictated to us during our studies at the Islāmic Institute in 1375H as part of the curriculum. I had it in handwritten notes, and when Professor Aḥmad Ibn Ḥāfiẓ requested it from me, I handed it over to him, and he has it in safekeeping.❞ *2) Miftāḥ Dār al-Salām bi-Taḥqīq Shahādati al-Islām* *3) Ḍawābiṭ Masāʾil Uṣūl al-Fiqh* *4) Talkhīṣ Mufīd Fī Fann al-Iṣṭilāḥ* *5) Mukhtaṣar Dalīl Arbāḥ al-Falāḥ* *6) Jadwal bil-Farāʾiḍ* A table of inheritance issues related to male and female heirs and their shares. *7) Risālat al-ʿAmr bil-Maʾrūf wal-Nahī ʿan al-Munkar* A treatise on enjoining good and forbidding evil. *8) Sharḥ al-Waraqāt Fī Uṣūl al-Fiqh* *9) Qāʾidah li-Maʾrifat Anwāʾ al-Ribā* *10) Sharḥ al-Bayqūnīyyah* Compiled from the live lessons that Ḥāfiẓ al-Ḥakamī dictated to young students of knowledge. *11) Amthāl Tuḥfat al-Aṭfāl Fī al-Tajwīd* *12) Takmīl Matn al-Shabrāwīyyah Fī Naḥw* *13) Dīwān Khuṭab* A collection of sermons of Ḥāfiẓ al-Ḥakamī. *14) Hamzīyyat al-Iṣlāḥ Fī Tashjīʾ al-Islām wa-Ahlihi* A poem exceeding two hundred verses that encourages adherence to the strong bond agreed upon by the call of the Messengers and their followers. It discusses the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʾah and their correct stance on the textual descriptions and attributes [of Allāh], as well as their love, satisfaction, and silence regarding the companions of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. The poem highlights their sacrifices in the call to Allāh and their leadership in opening up the world for the worship of Allāh alone and the implementation of His Sharīʾah among people. The poem praises the scholars who guided the nation to the path of Allāh and to the land of security and safety, and to the presence of the Generous Bestower in the gardens described with all their perfection, beauty, blessings, and kindness in the clear verses of the Qurʾān. It is said that if one wants to understand the description of Paradise, they should read Sūrah al-Raḥman. PS: 15:40 - The spelling of the village was a mistake, the correct spelling is Jāḍiʾ (جاضع)
