I'm glad to see that someone has provided the truth about this Racist-Fascist con man. Hey Jerry, I guess 'God' felt you didn't need the extra time huh? To quote Mark Twain, “Religion was invented when the first con man met the first fool” and “Satan doesn't have a single salaried helper; the opposition has millions."

If there was a god, Jerry Falwell would be in hell. He is an important creator of the dystopian present of 2024. As for not expressing sympathy for his family, all you have to do is look at that festering piece of excrement, Jerry Jr.

The salve of witnessing a moral courageously delivered argument from someone with superior intellect and understanding. People commenting how Hitch didn't give a fuck, but actually it's the opposite - he quite clearly cared way more about speaking truth to power than the intellectual vultures he just neutered.

Miles Davis has a great quote: "There are some people, who, if they don't know, you can't tell them." If I were Mr. Hitchens, I wouldn't waste my energy having a conversation with these lesser men. No matter what he says, or how eloquently he says it, they simply aren't going to understand. I liken it to John Von Neuman trying to simplify complex mathematical theorems to Rob Gronkowski. He's just not going to get it. He doesn't have the mental capacity.

The idea that they "let" us, "the viewer" decide is dangerous, cowardly, and stupid. For one, you can hear in the questions asked and the "Devils advocate" being played that they are not merely being third parties allowing other points of views. Inherently by asking questions, especially of the nature that they ask, they are imparting a bit of their own bias. That is inescapable. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but let's not kid ourselves and pretend that there is no bias being impacted here. Also, it is cowardly and dangerous that the media allows people to say anything without fact checking them. What hitchens said is correct, but I am more hinting towards allowing people like Falwell himself to spew nonsense and the media pretended it was being impartial, while also simultaneously allowing these dangerous ideas to go unopposed. It has led us to the predicament we are currently in, where not a small minority of this country cries foul when they finally are fact checked on the air after decades of soft ball. Liberals are yellow bellied and we have them to thank for the rise of Christian nationalism because they'd rather save face and hold their precious little hands than engage in real journalism. CNN being one of the worst culprits among them.

Thoughtless remarks Simply because it triggered your fragile conservative self, Hannity, does not make it thoughtless. It was a very well thought out statement, and the fact your feelings are hurt by it doesn't make it thoughtless. Conservatives have always been the real snowflakes.

we have archaeological evidence for the cities of Troy, and not so much for the golden temple of Solomon or Noah's Ark. In terms of the universe, it's not abrahamic nor Hindu, nor mormon. That's an earthen description of our natural home, run by the codes of ancient people in a modern century. The museum will not age well.

So, Fox News objects to Hitchens statements and thinks that they are disrespectful to Fallwell's family so what do they do? They invite Hitchens on their network so he can say them again to a huge audience. I wonder which gets you to hell faster, speaking ill of the dead or inviting someone in your network to speak ill of the dead on order to get ratings?

Hitchens was incredibly qualified to go after these figures in the ministry world. He’s no stranger to the fierce backlash of news coverage, especially since the mother Theresa documentary. Makes you wonder how hectic it is to challenge such big enterprises on faith and charity.
