"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism, as I understand it." -Orwell, 1946 Hitchens is very far from Orwell's polar opposite.

I don't care what people we occupy say, I was questioning what you say. Winston Churchill said 'Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time'. Question, who do you occupy?

Rich, you are hilarious. There was an awesome article in the The Onion called "Ask a High School Student Who Didn't Do the Required Reading." All of the student's comments are from the back of the book (including the price of the book in Canada). Do you even know what the words you are using mean?

Also, I love Hitchens' old school foppishness. Now he just wears that same goddamn white suit on every show!

Unfortunately my argument is slightly one sided as the antagonist's comments are all gone.

And some people resort to ad-homminen when at their wit's end.

Now his country was truly imperial. Hitchens discribes islamic extemism as facism. What did Orwell say about fascism? By the Griffen definition of fascism I agree. Orwell would agree. Besides, I wear the jac boot. Believe it or not, the moral high ground is solidly held by us. When you have seen with your own eyes how they operate and how we operate you'd understand.

@ScottBrown666 Well, one bullet for Saddam, I think the only plausible solution to the Taliban rule in Afghanistan would be the extreme action of militarily training and arming all Afghan women and seeing what happened then.

ha ha. I have served. A, I'm British, and B, I've done 2 tours of Iraq and one in Afganistan. Answer the fucking question which nations do you 'occupy'?
@OneBigRetard17 жыл бұрын
I have been to 4 of the places on your list. How many have you been to? You don't 'occupy' the UK. The Iraqi government is elected by a higher mandate than the UK. The allied forces are there under the request of the democratic government of Iraq and the UN. You are kidding yourself.

So an imperialist foavours an imperial government. The US is a democaracy. So BTW is Iraq. The DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED government of Iraq can remove the US troops whenever it likes. I think you thought 'imperialist' means an empire builder, looked up the definition after I asked the question and now you realise you are incorrect and won't admit it.

Why imperialist? Do you know the meaning of the word?
@OneBigRetard17 жыл бұрын
The fact that you keep responding suggests you do. Nay-saying? Er... you critise Hitchens I agreed with him. Who is the nay-sayer. Again an attempt to call me a women. Bizarre and not very insulting. So you are a chauvinist? OK, so which countries are you referring to when you say occupy? Or will you just attempt to insult me again?
@OneBigRetard17 жыл бұрын
Now please explain how Hitchens is an imperialist.
