We just kayaked to Cypress Springs a couple weeks ago... Let's just say we learned the hard way that we need a dry bag and how strong the current actually is in the river 😂

Hubby and I went kayaking here this morning and saw quite a few gators in water. Was like real life frogger but with gators. FYI…that skull inside the gift shop is a bear skull It was labeled.

As a very small child of 3 I remember visiting someone's home in Milwaukee and they had an alligator in their bathtub. I think back then taking s souviner baby alligator home was a thing. Off course the legen goes people didn't know what to do with them as they grew and they found their way into the sewers. They reptiles so not winter worthy

I live here and can see the lighthouse from my yard. When you return, you should visit the Marine Science Center and the historic post office. BTW if you freak out on the way down the lighthouse stairs our firefighters will come and rescue you.
