I remember being on crystal river back in the late 80s with my cousins who lived there at the time. We were actually swimming in the not so well known springs. On the way back up river we saw some manatee up ahead and decided to slow and stop so we could get in with them. What a great experience. And this all took place before Crystal River became so busy and crowded.

My husband and I swam with dolphins in Cozumel and rays in the Caymans. Both incredible experiences. Swimming with the manatee would be amazing! There is something about being in the water interacting with some of God's most awesome creatures that is like nothing else. Thanks so much for a great video! I swam with manatees years ago, just on my own with a couple of friends, not a tour. It was incredible, they were truly gentle giants. Nikki was exactly right, they're exactly like water puppies, nudging me from behind and coming in for hugs and pets. It's an experience I will never forget!

My wife and I have done this twice. Once in a September and once in a November. The September trip had only a small number of manatees present. I think November was a perfect time to do this. There were many more manatees to see than on our previous trip although not the huge number seen in your video. We saw plenty of manatees including one that wouldn’t leave our sides for more than an hour! We stayed at the Plantation on our first trip and the Hampton on our second. We thought the Plantation had much more character. We used two different tour operators on our trips as well. Both promised smaller groups of no more than 6. I think the smaller capacity boats also make for a more personalized experience. When I go on scuba diving trips I also seek out the small boats. Glad you enjoyed the manatees. They are magnificent!

I've been wondering when you would get to this 🙂 I've said every winter for 3 years I am going but life always hers in the way. Also, check Amazon for an accessory kit that includes a gopro float. They are cheap, especially compared to a new gopro.

you should try out John penny camps coral reef state park Key Largo yes you'll see sharks you'll see all types of animal sea turtles lobsters everything it's I've did alot was I was in my 20s and 30s I came face to face with a bullshark one the best snorkeling trip I ever had

My wife and I when we did a cruise and our one port was Mexico. We swam with my favorite fish the dolphin . That was my dream come true. It wasn’t easy for my wife. One year we did a cruise we we we’re supposed to swim with stin ray’s. My wife didn’t do it. Just me.
