It looks like Iron Bull makes this trailer in some other lengths, including 22' - can you see any reason that the 22' wouldn't work as well as the 24' for hauling around 20' containers?

They would both do perfect, the 24 would just offer you a bit longer deck in the event you wanted to haul a longer vehicle or load etc …. For shaking the 20 foot containers off the shorter option would be better in my experience. My 40 foot trailer is technically 39 foot so the containers hang off making them very easy to remove etc

We will be starting our shipping container home build early next year on our main property up here, and currently use a couple of the wind and water tight high cube 40 footers for our workshop and storage on one of our smaller properties. @@othellosson1621 thanks, I grew up riding and racing dirt bikes in the California desert, a lot of people refer to it as the “high desert” even though Southern California is just a desert, we are at 5600 elevation out here my brothers property 25 miles north of us is around 6400 elevation so we are a true high desert geography settled between mtn ranges up here. I live the forest and pine trees, but they want 10 times the price on acreage with pine trees on it, I figured with the money I saved I can plant as many trees as I want in the future, and we can be out in a nice dense forest within 20-30 minute drive any direction if we wish ….

I appreciate the offer, however i ran massive companies most of my life back when I was a working machine, and I just don’t want to take on the responsibility of being a source to provide an income for anyone else at this time, the business has a lot of inconsistencies that I’m able to roll with but wouldn’t want others to need to etc…

@@erikthered5539 yep this was our gym for about a month it was really convenient to have, I think it throws people off when looking to buy the building with all the massive gym equipment in there. 😂 I will put together a smaller version of the gym in the backyard for now, enjoy the sunlight, I would love to keep this cabin around, great shape easy build out but I’m gonna liquidate a bunch of extra projects now and get back on track to get the main property ready for the next build phase with several shipping containers…..

Yep I guess to the untrained eye this could look like a finished house ….. but to anyone with a trained eye it clearly still needs the roof metal trimmed, weather wrap installed, windows installed, finished plywood exterior, batten strips for the old Wild West look, a nice wrap around porch, an out house and a wood burning stove …. Only untrained people don't order tin the correct length for a roof or know cutting tin exposes the edge to rust you could of cut it and put the cut edge under the peak thats gonna look like crap in 2 years after its cut.

Yeah the boarder wall containers were most likely purchased at $10k a piece with extorted tax money on some bloated government contract, then the most recent communist dictators decided boarders are bad …. they sold them internally to government and non profit businesses $1k to 2k and now they are auctioning them off to the “general public” starting at $2k most going up to $3500 or more plus people then have to cover a relocation cost etc ….. selling containers back at 30-40% of what they bought them for to the same people they stole the money from to purchase them in the first place? Definitely a perfectly F’d up version of what these scumbags sell to us as FREEDOM (through extortion) … The worst is long before you and I were born our ancestors excepted this level of corruption at its starting point and now it’s just massive and all consuming …. It’s wild that our American society lives under socialism/communism and think we are the premium example of freedom

I just toss em like I would a hand grenade in a SHTF situation! Haha On windy days the high cubes sometimes take a couple extra tries though …. On this trailer I have the built in ratcheting cranks welded to the trailer and the metal buckles on opposite side so I get a little weight in the toss with that buckle rolled up …. About 12 foot of slack and make sure the natural toss direction is unraveling as it goes airborne…

Yeah I got lucky on this one, was a pretty reasonable along price, only needs a few things to get it ready to tow. 2 used trucks including the purchase price, upgrades and a rebuilt motor and I’m sitting around half the asking price of a new dually …..

I move shipping containers, I have a contact that moves the shed/cabins however I never found a solid contact that relocates mobile homes out here. I searched about 4 years back because I was finding really good deals locally on used mobiles in the area and this side of New Mexico but I couldn’t connect with anyone up here that was reputable. Even with the shipping containers most of the haulers you will see up here are 3rd party drivers coming up from south AZ, I’m one of the only ones in that biz that actually lives in Apache county and delivers our own inventory.

Yep yep I think from 2008 forward they all came with factory exhaust brake (automatic also factory engine brake) and the exhaust brake is way more intense being a manual 6 speed! She’s getting a little shop love this week in preparation for maiden tow voyage next week, I will definitely update a pov driver bud on it soon…

Another 6.7 Cummins turbo diesel, I purposely bought this year and brand due to having almost exact same set up as my other dually. Familiarity with the motor, and interchangeable parts hopefully will help me in the future, plus new dually trucks range between $90-120k right now which is absolutely insane, so even if I have $50k in 2 used trucks with rebuilt motors, rebuilt transmission, misc repairs I have 2 trucks for half the price of a new one. I expect repairs and shit happens the problem is they never breakdown in your driveway or at your favorite mechanics shop, it’s always when you least expect it and then the extra fees start piling up!!
