Seriously considering an RC now :) What's the difference in collimation for the 10" closed tube?
@teleskopserviceАй бұрын
There is a difference in the telescope models. With the Truss, the focuser adapter is permanently attached to the tube, whereas with the closed RC it is connected to the primary mirror cell. You can manage it but need good skills :-) There are also instructions for the TSCOLLIT www.teleskop-express.de/shop/bilder/shop/ts-accessories/TSCOLLIT_en.pdf

Hello, Thank you for this valuable video. I recently bought a 150mm28f. I use ASI6200MC pro as a camera. I can provide 55mm back focus with M48 adapter + M54 drawer 2" filter (20mm) adapter + 17.5mm camera sensor distance. But there is a lot of vignetting in the corners. For this, will using M54 adapter instead of M48 solve the problem? Or which adapters should I use? In addition, when I use 2" optolog L-exterme filter, is there a possibility that the back focus will be 56mm instead of 55mm?

Is there a thread available on the focuser to screw corrector ? A screwed connection is more secure than low quality clamping ring.
@teleskopservice4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no thread. This standard focuser unfortunately only has a 2 inch clamping ring device. However, there are 2 possibilities to install a different focuser. Without changing the base, with the help of an adapter. www.teleskop-express.de/de/teleskop-zubehoer-5/auszuege-teleskopadapter-motorfokus-296/okularauszuege-mikrountersetzung-92/ts-optics-2-zoll-zahntriebauszug-mit-zusatzgewinde-fuer-zubehoer-bis-5-kg-15797 www.teleskop-express.de/de/teleskop-zubehoer-5/auszuege-teleskopadapter-motorfokus-296/auszug-teleskopbefestigung-297/ts-optics-adapter-auf-ringschwalbe-von-gso-ts-photon-fuer-den-rap2del-okularauszug-15803 Or with modification of the base, this focuser can also be used. Can you please tell me, specifically to better see galaxies (not astrophotography), which refractor would be the best option, the TS Optics 152/900 mm F5.9 mm achromat or the Explore Scientific 127/952 mm ED-APO triplet ? The 152 mm achromat has higher light gathering capacity but the 127 mm ED-APO has higher quality optics. With my curent refractor, TS Optics 102/714 mm ED, I see galaxies the best at 80-120x magnification, so the new one with bigger aperture has to be able to look at galaxies at those parameters - 80-120x magnification. Thank you!
@teleskopservice5 ай бұрын
Hi, if you like to observe galaxies, star fields, globular clusters , you should use the TS152. If you also want to look at planets with it, then it is better to use the 127 ED as planets do not look very nice in the TS152 (longitudinal color error) Best

Very cool video! I have two of your Ritchey-Chrétiens (the 8 and the 12 inch) and I’m so happy with them. I use one or the other depending on the target and they are amazing. I came from a cheap Newtonian and suddenly my photos did a quality leap. Pinpoint round stars (APS-C sensor here), easy to collimate using Ocal and gorgeous star spikes with their rainbow phase just like Hubble’s. I mean what else can I ask for? Well yeah, that they’d be cheaper lol 😆 Will check the channel for more interesting stuff. Cheers from Spain

Great Video sir! One other thing I'd like to add. The rack and pinion focuser upgrade with the TS-Red reducer has another very important benefit. Using that system eliminates the need for 3" of additional (included) spacers between the the focuser and the scope. So the scope is very compact. And contrary to popular belief, this scope is easy to collimate and it holds collimation indefinitely. Its a very well made scope. The coolest looking scope there is.

I absolutely love my ONTC 8, it is a wonderful scope. I highly recommend it and have enjoyed it thoroughly. However, it pains me to admit that the secondary mirror and the spider are not paired well, at least on mine. The adjustment screws don’t line up with the pits on the back of the secondary mirror. Also, the screws on the secondary feel cheap and have had metal scraping off the threads from day one. Perhaps I have an early model, I’m more than happy to change these out if they have been updated. I’d love to hear from others about this

Like! Is it true that triplet refractors lose collimation faster and more easily than doublets and have to be recollimated more often ? Thank you!
@teleskopservice7 ай бұрын
It depends on the situation. A triplet is more difficult to adjust because it has more lenses. but I wouldn't say that it loses alignment more quickly

I really liked the look of this scope which would have solved a few of my problems, one being the size and construction of my current scope. (Skywatcher) BUT. I've read some of the comments on the forums and it appears that many of these scopes arrive with bits falling off them! Now I'm sorry, but if I'm paying £2000 for a high-end scope I don't want to be repairing it on arrival. Course I found out where they are made and it turns out that it's made in China (P.R.C.) what a surprise. 👎
@teleskopservice8 ай бұрын
We never had this case before! I can't answer that because we are not the only sellers of this type of telescope. I can't say how the other sellers deal with the telescopes. We don't have anything like that. Please show us links to the forums where this is claimed.

@@teleskopservice I thought 6.8 kg for the 110/770 mm ED has to be a mistake since the much bigger and 20 cm longer 125/975 mm APO weighs just 7.6 kg. The 110 ED is an interesting refractor with a nice price but at 6.8 kg it’s a little too heavy for my mount.

Hi, I actually have this same brand/model telescope and at normal temperatures it performs very good. However when the temperature drops below 0°C then there is a clear pinching effect. Is that the problem you are solving here? When pinched I see three dark inward spikes in a star with one large and two equally smaller. I have the tools to loosen the rear ring, but do I need to collimate after that?
