Yes, you certainly can. Just remove the platform since that won't be needed and might get in the way. Bear in mind, this is an old playlist and the software workflow has improved significantly in the meantime.

Quick question. “Minutes to fabricate each Aligner” is starting from cutting the aligners out of the models and polishing? Not including printing - washing - curing the models? Thanks for clarification.

It's referring to thermoforming the plastic on the model, trimming the tray, and polishing.

@@bgrutterdds True. Being a small lab, just a few simple pre-set adjustments would save a little time. Short, me, from LA. Moved to the forest in Vida Oregon in 92. @@orthodudeness yeah, BlueSkyPlan is the most efficient. Not as easy on the trimming and cleanup, but you can get pretty quick. Adding a base takes 1 button click. If you like hollow models, also just 1 button. Hard to beat that simplicity.

I use an ASUS Zenbook Pro for higher complexity designs. For routine, on the couch or traveling design, I like my Surface Pro 9. If you want high end, 32gb of RAM is the easy thing to look for. 16gb will do most of what you need. i7 or i9 should be sought after. i5 can work, but I recommend against. Graphics card isn't very important for BSP these days. Mostly processor, followed by available RAM. If you plan to connect to an IOS, you'll want 32gb and a legit graphics card. Other software (eg EXOCAD or 3Shape) will have their own requirements that I don't know off hand.

You best bet is to reach out to the manufacturer and request that the collaborate with BlueSkyBio. It doesn't cost them anything. BSB just needs their libraries.
@JoonKimDMD4 ай бұрын
@@bgrutterdds I wonder if sales rep knows anything about it since they have never done it. Do I ask them for a digital model or STL of their brackets libraries?
@bgrutterdds4 ай бұрын
You can talk to your rep, but the files have to come directly from the manufacturer. This is to avoid any sort of legal issues with incorporate files not approved by the manufacturer into blue sky bios software. Also, the files have to be oriented in such a manner so that the software engineers know how to orient them in the software.

Only difference is on how I design the shells. I now only create posterior wax rims so that the Anterior has an opening. Ideally the patient nose breaths, but this allows for air to pass if their nasal passages are obstructed. No changes in which softwares I use.

If I imported in a part and wanted to modify one spot of said imported part while keeping the rest of it consistent (I.E. Make a petal on a flower longer than the rest), how would I do this?
@bgrutterdds5 ай бұрын
That's tough. Bringing in the part and adding to or subtracting from is easy. But what you describe is much more complicated. If you isolate the petal from the rest of the flower, you could then stretch it however you wished. Possible, but not necessarily easy. Particularly if the flower was 3D.
