What's your go-to module for heavy kicks?
@ModernDevotion25 күн бұрын
Digitone not a euro module but still heavily underrated as a source for heavy kicks. Used to have an Erica synths graphic vco that was also great when used as the vco component of a kick voice

I currently use the Mandrake Maelstrom. Not sure if it's the best heavy kick, but I'm currently really happy with it. There is decent CV control over parameters. Sometimes I throw an Ableton Drum Bus on it if I am post-processing a live set. I am open to new kick options for sure.

quick tip, if you want clearer high end I can recommend you swap those cheap cordial cables for something a bit more expensive. I have those as well and definitely notice it acting like a low pass filter on my instruments compared to other cables. Sick tunes!

So good video, which is better for live the cycles or the samples? Im worry about the output power and sound quality of the cycles kicks and sounds, because the samples you could choose really good sounds. Thanks you! Im wanna buy one of this two

If the usage becomes commercial - i.e. if you monetise it, sell it, or charge for access to it, or if it is advertising-funded or commercially sponsored, then that counts as commercial use, and you will need to license the recording from Pro Sound Effects.
@txetxubmxАй бұрын
Asesome video as always, what do you think on dreadbox typhon? Could the behringuer edge and the quadrantid be a goop duo? And what about that three? To make live tecno and daw production. I already have the edge and looking for some setup like yours but cheaper or used, that could be used for live sets and daw production. Really rhanks!

@FrisqoАй бұрын
Quick adjustment: For commercial use of the samples it doesn't matter how much the sound is altered, you have to buy the license (thanks to @VinceFinemMusic for reminding). With this officially said, have fun with the sampling!
@MichaMachine-SynthsАй бұрын
Great Idea , i also Sample from WorldRadio too , 🙏🌀🤗🌍
@VinceFinemModularАй бұрын
Just a heads up, it legally doesn't matter (in Europe and US anyway) how much you modify a sample, you need to get it cleared before using it in your own work. Will they even be able to identify it if you heavily modify it and send it through effects? Probably not. But it is worth knowing that if your track blows up, someone might come looking for their cut. From the BBC license FAQ "as long as your usage remains non-commercial, you can use sound effects for free, crediting the BBC. If the usage becomes commercial - i.e. if you monetise it, sell it, or charge for access to it, or if it is advertising-funded or commercially sponsored, then that counts as commercial use, and you will need to license the recording from Pro Sound Effects."
