Never been a fan of splitter, and that sadly still holds true. Great ideas and creativity, but the production is holding it back severely. It just dosen't sound very good to me. Still exciting stuff, looking forward to see what they do in the future! 🙏

It might be an little premature to call it now, but this might be my EP of the year. I can hear such a broad range of influences on show from producers like Veer, JoeB, Nitepunk, Beastboi and so many more but in a way that feels so uncompromisingly, unabashedly Splitter, complete with jazzy chords and production ear candy. And Mind is just, oh my… It’s safe to say we’re witnessing the rise of one of EDMs most foremost savants, and I for one can’t wait to hear what else he has in store for us this year. Big ups from the UK man, genuinely sick stuff.

You definitely seem like a euphoric hardstyle guy like me. It’s all about the melodies, emotional breaks and clean sounding crunchy pitched kicks. I’ve been obsessed with hardstyle for 15 years now and d-sturbs always been known for his really energetic raw kicks mixed with euphoric melodies. Definitely like his stuff but it’s not my favorite. Loved seeing this reaction though!

Not recognising one of the seminal melodies of all time in 1685 and calling it "whatever"... It's only one of the most well recognised, critically acclaimed melodies in musical history, that's stood the test of time for over 300 years. "Slow Christmas carol and not in a good way"?

YES! Finally someone that reacts and does not pause the video! They that do that get this music all wrong man, its the build up and than the EARGASM! I hate all the phones as well.. But man if you have been there for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days the end of every day ending like this is just the release of everything of that day(s).. After 12 hours+ dancing a day. The endshow is so iconic and beautiful done. Admit tho, this small little country we live, we have the biggest parties and don't forget that Dance music is an actual Export product from The Netherlands.

I mention in the beginning that I’ve heard of Defqon. I knew it was a big hardstyle related festival. But I have never actually looked into it or seen videos of it until now. I assure you I do not fake my reactions or play dumb in any way. I just genuinely know nothing about Defqon haha

You should do the closing ritual of Defqon1 2024, incredible show. One set I really enjoy is Brennan Heart DefQon1 2024, not the "presents save euphoric" one, but the other one. Great vid though!

Hardstyle is more than just music it's a lifestyle that has helped many people through tough times. Dear Hardstyle is a perfect example. Since I was a teenager, I fell in love with Hardstyle the community, the people, and the music. It also helped me through dark times. This edition was my sixth time at Defqon, and it feels like coming home every year. For most people, it's not just music it's a home where they can be themselves without being judged.

The problem i have with Defqon1 now vs 10-15 years ago is not that Hardstyle as Music was miles better back then, but also its purely tomorrowland 2.0 in terms of the amount of people now, way to overcrowded imo. I dont hear Hardstyle as a genre realy anymore, because i startet back in 2007 so i see how its grown and now its tiring and mostly done energywise for me. Of course there are still awesome tracks out there but most of it is the same stuff over and over again and the older tracks are simply more magical. Thats why for me all these DQ shows are soulless nowadays. I loved 2010 edition specially the Endshow, i was 2012 actualy the first time there. Now they play tracks everyone nows, no storytelling or something different. I completly switched over to DnB and think that the ,,Let it Roll,, Festival is better in terms of musicality, stagedesign & shows. But thats a personal thing, i know DQ is way bigger and have a higher budget. Maybe check the LIR Openings out for some comparison, ,,Rampage,, Belgium indoor is also epic energywise, ,,Boomtown,, for the experience... Completly different vibe & energy (because of Dnb of course)

Sir, you just need to be there to understand. This is a feeling that are undescribeable🎉 after 4 days of dancing many people wants to just be with the music, get it on film and so on. Dancing in between but you also want to see it all❤
