I’m convinced it’s his managers asking to throw out bland mono-mixed tracks every week cause it’s sells at live shows. However, Engineer of Woe feels like a retaliation towards the movement. This is all speculation, but it does seem convincing since half of these tracks are mono rather than stereo.

It honestly doesn’t matter if it’s mono, it still sounds good. I do agree his other tracks are better and I am convinced that his managers do this. He releases once a month, so now it’s too often…and people wanted him to release more often because he was releasing less often

6:48 yesss, because this was the ID version of Tenebrous, the thing is many people loved the ID and Marauda changed it for the oficial release, so he made something new with the ID

This EP really felt like the old Marauda I learned to love back when he was still Mastadon. Decadence is probably my fav, simply because he uses different drums lmao

From a Marauda Fan, Your comments are exaclty like the way I felt about that EP just in different words. My favorite song was the last one because it reminded me of the Doom soundtrack a little. Necrodevastator and Decadence are kind of cool though.

Man what the heck is that final track, the jump in production is absolutely wild. Sounds like something Akeos would make, which is massive praise. It's like he put that in just to show people he still knows how to make good music

I dont really get the hate that some people are giving this EP, it feels like an upgrade to some of his recent releases, fresh sound design, good and memorable flows, and some experimental and new ideas (Engineer of Woe). the mixing could be slightly better on some of the tracks (still dont understand the mono gimmick), but most of the people critiquing that almost certainly couldn't mix better. For me, this EP felt like the MARAUDA that I was used to a few years ago, and it makes me excited for future releases.

I definitely like this EP it's nothing amazing or new but it was fresh enough for me. The main thing that keeps me hooked is the amount of unreleased tracks he has that are genuinely great but he keeps putting out these random songs that just seem to be placeholders. I agree with other people that it's his shitty managers. At his shows he constantly drops songs that he never releases that are sick

I think when people listen to this stuff they should take into consideration that these feel more like set pieces then they do standalone releases. Like you can say its lacking here but when you hear how he’s incorporated these into his sets you can see a drastic evolution in his music as a performer. I think every year hes been rapidly releasing these projects his sets have a taken a big jump in production quality

3:47 my exact reaction the entirety of the EP, very bland and disappointing tbh. Ill still add them to my workout mix but nothing original or unique in this EP besides the last track, even then it kinda has that sinews vibe from the first drop. The mixing was kinda weird too.

Ill admit im a fan of the very over done generic marauda BUT ive not been able to enjoy some of the more recent ones because of the horrible mixing. Hope it doesn't continue like that. Edit: correct me if I'm wrong but I think he went back and reworked the mixing on primal phantom EP and retribution. I have downloads on for Spotify and those songs redownloaded after they were released and they don't sound as mono as I remember but I could be wrong.

Marauda needs more songs like "olde guarde". finally it doesn't sound like another "curse of the tramp" whose songs are 95% the same. i like his style, but come on, one vip casked version will be enough.
