Thank you for the video. Taurus has come along way . In the beginning they made terrible guns but now after many years later they are making pretty good guns and they have graet service and cant beat the life time warranty.

Lot of hype surrounding this gun. Decent trigger, but it doesn’t shoot much differently than other pocket pistols. I feel most of the passionate comments are from people that have never shot it

Don't plague yourself and put the gun on full cock put it on half cock when you are disassembling and reassembling the cylinder

How much did they pay you?

😂😂😂 No trigger safety and if engaged the weapon will fire if a bullet in the chamber.

What's the difference between the older Taurus Gaucho and the Deputy? They both look like the same gun to me. Did Taurus just change the name, or did they improve upon the Gaucho?
@DaGunGuyКүн бұрын
I have never shot the Gaucho, so I couldn’t tell you. Anyone shoot both?

The frame pins walk out even on a new G3C. The slide slams forward when you aggressively tap in a mag. Not all but some of these need the ramp polished to accept hollow points. The plastic internals degrade the trigger pull but Lakeline LLC sells stainless steel recoil springs and firing pin retainers (great upgrade). The finish wears out very quickly. It’s prob not going 50,000+ rounds like a Glock. That said I love the G3C. I carry it because it’s stone cold reliable. I’m not worried about it if it gets sweaty, or in the rain or salty conditions on the beach. It’s definitely a Hyundai but it works. It’s hard to get past the reputation of Taurus but it’s hard to argue against the G3C.

Personally, I HATE a transfer bar gun, partly because I grew up shooting a first generation Colt, I'm used to "load one, skip one, and load 4 more," this lowering the hammer on an empty chamber. But the BIGGEST reason I hate them is because I bought a Ruger New Model Blackhawk, in the mid 80's, brand new, and after shooting around a 20 round box of ammo, the transfer bar actually BROKE, making it as useless as having a brick in my holster. Sure glad I didn't run across any snakes that day! I sent it back to Ruger (they DID fix it at no charge, of course, and pay shipping both ways, no complaints there, BUT I was without it for SIX MONTHS, which I found intolerable, even though I still had my other guns. Didn't take me long to replace it with a Colt clone (a Hawes Western Marshal, as I recall).
@johndonaldson69032 күн бұрын
It's a lot easier to remove and reinstall the cylinder with the hammer on half cock instead of full cock, at full cock, the bolt lock pops back up in the way
@bigbadjohnpesek98942 күн бұрын
The only thing keeping me from buying one is no firing pin on the hammer. I'm old fashion. That's why I love my pietra.

Great to see someone reviewing a firearm that actually knows what they are talking about. I considered Taurus for 45LC, but I have vaqueros in 357 (built like a tank). I'm staying with Ruger because I can afford it.

Good morning from Brazil 🇧🇷. Thank you for the magnificent story told by you, it was truly a perfect narrative. I felt represented and very proud. My first gun is a Rossi 841, I bought it in 1992 and still have it today. Thanks for the video and the work.

What happens if you shoot the module by accident because you are a terrible shooter? Is it bullet resistant?

I don't think so - so, I guess your buying another one or practicing more.

I got the 7" of that gun and haven't had any issues but I have only put like 60-80 rounds and most of it 38. Probably only 25 rounds of 357 mainly just to test the gun and the different types of ammo. Mine is still real new and ammo is expensive in CA, I mainly got it as a camping type gun and the wow value more than a range toy. I had the same issue where the grips didnt look like the photos and thats because they changed the stain on the newer ones, I found a pair of the older prettier ones on ebay for $30. The newer ones are still the same grips they just do like a black coffee mat look vs the glossy tiger's eye look where you see the grain or burn marks made to look like grain.

It’s funny how you like guns that emulate Glock but dislike the original design … I get it tho that gun and the Taurus g2c both have Glock like internals but look nothing like and probably feel nothing like a Glock … I feel like the hellcat also has similar internals to a Glock little different but similar
@davidholl204 күн бұрын
I have had one for about 6 years and had the same issue. I used different ammo and had same issues. I sent it in for warranty they found a Burr on the firing pin. And I also had to pay for the shipping. It was taken care of and it shoots fine now. Just ran 400 rounds through it last weekend.

Check out the SP-101 in .327 Federal Magnum. It provides a sixth round in the same size package and allows you to shoot the entire .32 caliber family of revolver cartridges. While that MAY not make it your go-to-war choice, offensive handgun choice, as a defensive concealed carry choice, you don't need to feel underarmed with it either.

I have the S & W M & P 22 magnum pistol and would love to see how a 22 magnum performs out of a rifle. I pretty sure almost no gun ranges have a 22 magnum rifle to rent. I heard that this rifle shoots better with the barrel cut down to 16 to 18”. I am turn between getting a semi auto rifle or a pump or lever action rifle. This cartage is designed for manual action guns. Also there is a new Tipman Arms 22 magnum semi auto rifle out now. It is listed at $769 on there website site.

I have a P238 and the barrel pin falls out when the slide is racked if held sideways! What’s up with that! Great guns don’t fall apart when racking a round!

I just bought a new Taurus 856, with concealed hammer, its fine pistol but the trigger pull it way to hard, going to have to replace the springs with aftermarket I guess!!!
@scottlysle5 күн бұрын
I bought one (4.75" barrel in 357), it had problems with timing and possibly a bent cylinder pin from the first shot on. Mine locked up on the first shot, the cylinder will not rotate in any cocked position for loading or to enable the use of the extractor, and it locks up every few shots. I managed to fire 18 rounds but only after taking it apart a few times at the range.

I own quite a few handguns. Picked one of these up for $300.00 new not expecting a whole lot from it. That was about 2 years ago. It is now my favorite handgun to shoot. I have handguns costing $800 to $1500 that don't shoot as well and as accurate. In my book when it counts you're going to want something easy to shoot, reliable and accurate as possible to help you out in a bad situation. It's my choice for daily carry. As for home defense anyone who doesn't have a 12 gauge loaded with 6 rounds of 00 buck shot sitting in the corner next to your bed is doing it wrong. Yeah, I can get to my handgun, but I am definitely reaching for the shoot gun first.

Wow that gun got the Cadillac cleaning. I shove a brush down the barrel and each cylinder and apply more lube until there is minor resistance in the system, then it gets the wash basin.

It better be a much improved version than a glock, they set a standard back in the the 1980s! If everything is better than a glock why aren't they comparing them against each other! I have a g3,love taurus,great pistol and I own other pistols including glocks and just have to say find two companies that you can compare that are close to the same.

I had major feeding issues with Fiocchi defender hollow points, it wouldn't go into battery. I polished the chamber and feed ramps, no joy. I tried CCI and Federal, and it runs great.

CCI and Federal ball or hollow point? Wondering if it commonly struggles with hollow point.
