Great video! Thanks for sharing man, I really enjoyed this! Also, great riding! Looks like you've been doing this for a while. LOL! In 1996 I was 21 and I bought a 1986 XR600R. It was bored out .5 mm, had an extra point of compression (10:1) the carbs were rejetted and it had a Supertrap exhaust. I also changed the gearing to 15/48. That bike was extremely fast! And it was perfect for the desert here around Tucson Arizona where I live. I have so many great memories riding that dirt bike! I called her "Clementine." LOL! My profile picture is from that same year, 1996. She was sure a pretty ol' girl! Thanks again!

Hey man, thats awesome, thanks for sharing! The bike in this video is a 1992, which my best friend and long time mentor bought brand new back in his day and rode the wheels off. I used to dream of this bike every day until I had the chance to buy it from him for $1000. I registered it and used it as daily transport as well as heaps of bush riding and adventures for about 2 years until the driveshaft teeth stripped inside the front sprocket. Sold it for $500 to someone who planned to cafe racer it :( XR600 is by far the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden (more than adventure bikes!)
@krisjato11 күн бұрын
@@omeobandit9928 No problem! The 1986 color scheme was my favorite of the XR600's! I walked into a Honda dealership looking to buy a used dirt bike and when I saw "Clementine" it was like love at first sight! I paid too much for her but oh well! I think I paid $1600. But it was only $100 a month after the down payment. I definitely got my money's worth out of her! I used to go camping every weekend and I would put 100 miles on her in a weekend, easily! I also used to take her down to Rocky Point in Mexico and cruise the beaches and ride wheelies up the sand dune! What a blast that was! Ride up to the bar on the beach, park her on the patio and go in and have a few drinks and then hit the sand dune! Oh, the good ol' days! I rode the wheels off of her for about four years before something started rattling inside the engine. I even had her street legal for a few months. I ended up getting paralyzed from the chest down from a bad accident on a 1985 Honda 200X ATC on May 21 of 2000. So I sold "Clementine" for $500. Definitely a legend of a dirt bike! Take care man and God bless!

@@krisjato Wow dude! How is your outlook on life since you've been paraplegic? Can you operate a steering wheel alright? What if you had a buggy with the throttle and brakes on the steering wheel in paddle form? Great story btw, sounds like heaven riding up to the bar for a cold drink before hitting the dunes and beaches. Wow. Why do people slave their careers away in the city when you can live like that :D
@krisjatoКүн бұрын
@@omeobandit9928 Well, first of all, I'm quadriplegic, not paraplegic. I would give anything to be able to use my hands! For the first several months or so after my accident I didn't want to live! I stopped eating and just laid in bed waiting to die. I am 6" 4' and I got down to 115 lbs. I finally snapped out of it and decided that I had two choices. I could either be bitter and miserable or I could make the best of a bad situation and see what I could learn to do. I made a special controller, using an airplane style dual joystick transmitter I wired my RC cars so that the throttle and steering were both on the same joystick. Then I got a piece of rubber fuel line from the hardware store to make the joystick bigger and taller. So driving my RC cars, trucks and boats is just like driving my wheelchair. After that I started getting out more and started an RC collection. Since then which was probably early 2001 my outlook has been pretty good. I cannot operate a steering wheel, especially now 25 years later because my body is getting very stiff and I'm just having a lot more problems. Yeah, it was really nice taking ol' "Clementine" down to Rocky Point and cruising the beaches, the sand dune and bar hopping on the dirt bike. LOL! Thanks for your reply! Take care and have a great day!

omeo, I'm Brazilian from the interior of Rio de Janeiro, I really like your videos and I'm crazy about learning how to fly the autogiro. How much does an autogiro cost like this? It's simpler...

Too many things that can go wrong and need maintenance with helos especially in end times. I’m trust a low consumption fuel engine and a 40 ft wing span and tail wing any day. At least if my engine kills out I can glide to the ground Instead of hoping for the best.
@omeobandit992818 күн бұрын
@@Zaphodbeeblebrox01 this is a gyro, it's very low maintenance and simple and it can land without engine (I've had a few emergency landings before). They cost $62 a year to register in Australia and this one burns 20 litres per hour or up to 25 if revving hard.
@Zaphodbeeblebrox0118 күн бұрын
@ I know what it is I remember seeing them in the late 70S and no you’re not landing this without power unless you lose power about 2 meters above ground haha. This is a death machine never claim anything else even the original creator Acknowledged this

@ Completely wrong, I have had the engine quit at 100ft and at 800ft, both times I glided down and landed perfectly. Sometimes I fly for hours just doing 0 power landing drills over and over. @rocksparadox18 күн бұрын
Action gives an equal reaction, there is NO sideways/turning momentum. The vertical rotor is NOT DRIVEN by a motor, it spins because of air moving over the blades, creating lift when it moves forward. The only powered part is the horizontal pushing propellor.
