Bmw s1000xr madness on cold wet road - SUPERB sound

We know this road like the back of our hand and always check the conditions before cracking on, but we weren't scared by myths about tyres not performing on cold damp roads or similar excuses to stay inside. It doesn't even look too bad in the sunny bits, but the rest of our crew didn't show up because it was "sleeting" (frozen rain) and sometimes parked up for the whole winter! Him and i are oldschool and always tested the limits for ourself instead of listening to the fearmongering stories that everyone likes to tell, and we always rode through the winter year round, even in snow. Its in my nature to push things to the limit, and thats why i always end up mates with other people who are same as me like michael, he was the only one who gave me a run for my money in the twisties.
For me the best, "cream of the crop" road riders skill is measured by the riders ability to push his bike to the limit while strictly staying in his lane, not taking "dirty" or "cheating" lines. The precision required to cut good lines within his lane at a high level of riding becomes half the fun of slaying the road. We pride ourselves by our form, and cringe when we see someone lose their lane or cutting a yucky line lol. Having said that, ive seen videos of talented greek riders who dont care about lanes. But thats their riding culture in that place and it looks cool.

The road from Bruthen to Omeo and then the Omeo hwy to Mitta Mitta through to the Murray valley highway is probably the best road on the mainland, have to go to Tassie to find anything better!
