Something very special about this game and score

Being a kid, dark forest is where I would get stuck and stop playing. I found the plant boss SO hard.

I love when the bass guitar instrumental kicks in at 1:28 followed by the choir vocals. Takes me straight back to being a carefree 90s kid, filled with wonder.

This gives me the same feeling as Resident Evil 1 Safe Room Theme! I can listen for hours :)))))))))

God, I LOVE this game SO much. The first few hours were SO atmospheric.

Final Fantasy 9 was and is such a special game with such memorable characters with really great character arcs. Great storytelling.

Before you got to this world, the music was happy and cheerful, showing that the adventure ahead was going to be fun, if not a challenge at times. But then you step into this world and this music starts playing. You feel a deep sense that there is an underlying evil in this world. It's cold here, and the citizens are in turmoil. It is at this time that the kid gloves come off and the monsters start to show their strengths to you, and you must answer in kind.

About 20 years ago, I had a friend with who this game was our common passion. We have lost contact since then and today at 32 years old, I still wonder very regularly if he is well, if he is alive and if he too is listening to the musics from this game which are incredible. Kev from Sherbrooke, hope you're still out there buddy.

To this day, this is one of my favorite video game themes I've ever heard.

I allways was thinking i left some secrets in that forrest when first time leaving there.

This theme reminds me of something straight out of Xenogears. Not sure why.

This is exactly how it hapoend with me and my ex, awhile when we were younger 😂 I tripped so hard I drooled and went down different hallways were I was sitting, I fell down laughing drooling, the ex just passed herself laughing. Never try this 😢😊

Personally my favorite is at Pinnacle Rocks due to the actual peacefulness but I guess this one DOES have the ambience.

this world is when the game started to feel so epic and the music fits it all so well.....the spirit of the spring, the border wars, the puppeteer, the ghost in the woods and mountains....such a brilliant little game

How would you react if all the sudden your coffee table started to talk to you? Would you be open to listening, or would you freak out and run to the doctor to put yourself on meds to suppress it? Most people would freak out because they don't have a proper context for it. Under the materialist paradigm the only context is that you're going insane. But if you understand how consciousness works then there's really nothing wrong about it, you just have an extra-open mind. What ordinary humans consider to be "hallucinations" not really hallucinations (since everything is a hallucination), they are just God's imagination - Infinite Imagination - at work in non-ordinary states of consciousness. See so the meds that suppress the hallucination is itself a hallucination... 😂

Evil Forest is my favorite area in the game. Not to say the rest of the game goes downhill or anything, as there are dozens of memorable areas and scenes throughout the game, but there's just something about the danger of the woods, the mystique of the flower monsters, and of course, this impeccable, outstanding music. FF9 has the best OST in the series and this track is one of my many citations.

This game was awesome and the music was great too. I hope I get to experience the remake in English one day.

Thankfully there's two places in the game you hear this awesome track: Evil Forest and Pinnacle Rock on Disc 2 this music gives me so much nostalgia

I used to fall sleep to this track as a kid. To get rid of the ambient effects, I'd pop the disc tray open before they loaded in lol. Things are a lot easier these days.

I would play this theme as a kid. I would literally do the same thing on my overheated ps1 ;go into the room after saving and leave my game on all night
