I thought the same thing when I first played it as a kid 15 years ago!!! Still sounds like the part in Episode IV when Luke and Han are getting their medals.

Man, this brings up childhood memories. This is one of 2 Gameboy RPG games that I done a lot of grinding. Another one is Pokemon Red 👍

Thank you for uploading the GBC version of this song. It's incredibly hard to find anything related to the GBC versions of the soundtracks from Dragon Quest 1-3 here on KZbin, so this was quite the nice surprise to find. :)

I seriously can't find a playlist for the OST of the GBC port for this game... I truly love this theme, it's right up there in my favorites next to Distant Memories and Heavenly Flight.

Actually, I almost have the melody down after what... an hour of work? that bass line is confusing, though, because it switches between single notes and chords every couple of beats.

I don't know which version is the most epic of that song, the NES or the GBC version? the SNES version isn't as good/epic as those 2 though.

You're absolutely right about the snes version; although the snes had some tasty sound fonts to work with, i personally think the GBC version sounds a lot sharper and bass-ier than the NES but it's all up to preference :D

***** The GBC version is actually in 8-bit stereo too. You really can't go wrong with any version of Dragon Quest III in my opinion.

The remake of DW3 is better than the nes version in all but one way, the gold claw is bad since you cannot store it.

You don’t have to sell it. The only curse is if you go into the pyramids. Otherwise, there is no curse of random encounters everywhere that was in the NES version.
