This is entirely different from other videos I've seen on the Circle of 5ths. Marvelous history and info about "transition chords". Thanks.

Great video, Mark! There's something you said that confused me though. In your demo with the microphone you said the baseband signal (your voice converted to an electrical signal) has negative frequencies. I don't think that's correct. The negative frequencies arise when you modulate a high frequency carrier with this baseband signal.

I have question: (First thank you for the great videos) at 00:57 when we find the Fourier Transform of x(t) sine as I know the the height of the impulse should be half of the amplitude of the x(t) sine function according to the FT formula 1/2. but what I see from your video it is not the half of the amplitude. Would you please explain why?
@Electrologia21 күн бұрын
FT of sine is X(f) = (1/2j) * [δ(f-f0) - δ(f+f0)] because of this impulse should be the 1/2 of amplitude of sine signal.

Let see if I can compete with all of them. First most important to know is that "i" is not a number but operator and i^2 is not equal (-1), i^2 = 1^2 x i^2 = 1 x (-) = (-1); "i" is more like a position or./and half turn between (+) and (-).
