Thank you. Just listened to this. I appreciate your concern on our democracy. Am a bedside hospital nurse here of 35 yrs. (ICU/PACU) I was going to ask about the protections we have with so many variants and I think you answered that by saying you've now had covid 2-3 times. When myself and coworkers tested for antibodies in 2020 it was surprising that some with KNOWN covid had NO antibodies...so it was really concerning to think we had good natural immunity then. It seemed so sporadic. I know our immune system is more complicated than that, but I also do know of people getting covid more than once. Thus I've taken every shot/booster I can get. I did finally get covid this last month tho..probably BA 5? Who knows. There are also, sadly those who have "unknown" issues who end up really sick. My 28 yr old nephew had unknown HTN. He's about 50 pounds overweight and h/o pneuomonia a few years ago, but he now has heart failure (EF 20%) from covid at 28 yrs. Very sad. When you talked about hospitals being overwhelmed during Omicron and just half the covids with incidental finding of covid...just wanted to say that that still impacts us due to staffing and isolation issues, trying to still not spread to other pts. More time consuming. Anyway, just sharing some of my experience. I appreciate what you've said and your insights. I"m sorry the vaccine may have exacerbated your long covid. A nurse friend of mine who developed debilitating POTS from covid had almost all of her symptoms go away after her vaccine. Thank you for this update dr. Katz. I have been a huge supporter of your way of thinking and reasonable approach. I've done everything in my power to spread the word. You have professed an excellent goal (total harm minimization) and also an excellent integrated protocol (e.g. healthy diet, lifestyle, sunshine, fresh air, etc.). However, I'm extremely disappointed that your voice seems to have been totally absent on the subject of early treatment (except for your Reality check 7 'Yae or nay' video that miraculously has not been censored). You could have incorporated what doctors Thomas Borody, Peter McCullough, Vladimir Zelenko, Brian Tyson, George Fareed, Pierre Kory, Paul Marik, and many, many others have shared. Frankly, I don't understand at all why you didn't incorporate this subject in your teachings and find it extremely difficult to believe that it somehow escaped your attention. True, there is huge censorship, but we now also have other platforms that are censorship-free. Early treatment is the game changer. It lowers everyone's risk tremendously and makes all harmful measures unnecessary. If in fact you did argue for early intensive combination treatment, I would love to hear about it and apologize for my mistake in advance. If you somehow missed the early treatment part, I would implore you to help spread the word. The doctors I just mentioned are a fantastic starting point. They also have answers for long COVID. One separate remark: A short extreme lockdown, as you suggested, might work in theory, but it will definitely fail for a pathogen that has a widespread animal reservoir, such is supposedly the case with SARS-CoV-2. It is for instance in deer and houseflies. Are we going to lock those down too somehow?

Watching all this play out has destroyed my trust in public health, any trust I had in the CDC etc. So I've sought out Doctors such as yourself who share intelligent information, risks and benefits, etc. Massachusetts is doing vaccine mandates on businesses now I'm sure you're aware of. It's disgusting and disturbing. We're entering a Medical State here in MA and about ready to leave. We know where it's going. I can go to a Boston gym now since I'm vaccinated, but I know soon you'll be required to be "up to date" and should I not get a booster guess I'm banned from society. Yup not the state I want to live in. And they're requiring it for kids 5 and up! My oldest is 3.5 and once EUA is issued for 2 and up you can bet it will be added to the Boston, Brookline, Salem, and a few more towns will likely follow mandates.

I tend more toward your centrist point of view but it also has been abundantly clear that the pandemic had induced a kind of mania that almost has religious intonations. I think further back to the Reformation or English Civil War where Cromwell and his Roundheaders were smashing stain glass windows and demanding the eradication of any hint of Catholicism. To me the Cromwellian figure here is Fauci and the GBD the Parliamentarians. However, even with that digression, I do think you are also being too heavy handed in your addendum to suggest that there is no power grab occurring. I live in DC I work in government, I have friends on both sides and politically identify as an Independent. Today, we begin showing our vaccination cards in the city. As a practical matter this will place that burden on young hostesses at a restaurant or bar tenders and my guess is that it will become perfunctory. But what is the point? We were promised that the vaccines would strop the spread, and they didn’t. To me this policy, almost all in blue areas, are being enacted to extract a penalty. And it’s not even at the unvaccinated but at people that didn’t ardently subscribe to the harsh measures that they clung too. Fortunately, the current situation is not a limited choice of 'vaccines versus suffering' without effective treatments. I'm surprised and concerned that Dr. Katz is speaking in these terms. If people will look up presentations by Dr. Peter McCullough, and other doctors he cites, they will find effective treatment protocols for Covid, whether early or late stages (although earlier treatment is always better), for both low-risk and high-risk patients, that have proven safe and effective for thousands of people over the past year. (The McCullough Report on the America Out Loud website is one source.) The current version of the virus has mutated and current vaccines are no longer effective, per Dr. McCullough. This is demonstrated by high re-infection rates, more booster shots, and, now, pills from Pfizer underway to be taken (2 per day, I believe they've said) with their vaccines. Natural immunity, on the other hand, is effective and durable for all viral variants, per Dr. McCullough; and no case of reinfections after validated natural immunity have been documented. VAERS data for Covid is higher than all other vaccines combined. The same VAERS data, or similar, was used ('unweaponized') to discontinue previous vaccines at much lower levels of harm and death than is being observed for this coronavirus. One is left to wonder why -- especially for a relatively harmless virus with a 98% survival rate for most people (even higher for younger people) with safe and effective treatment protocols for vulnerable groups. And, once again, not everyone gets this virus. Children are suffering more harm and death from the experimental drugs ('vaccines') than they are from the virus. This should be the end of the story for informed, caring parents.
