Literally just ran through BS1 again on my XSX and damn it holds up well to this day. Sadly it plays like balls on the PC version, so I wont have the chance to dabble with mods.

Literally my only complaint against the original game is the sky box is small and reused throughout the game. Having a unique view of the city from every window would be like a dream and make progression feel more rewarding.

Its not enough to place the same ugly models into a newer engine. We can see that the Lumen is shining, but all other stuff are outdated :D

Please let this become a new full Bioshock game. 1 and 2 were great, 3 was a bit of a miss for me, but to go back to Rapture and maybe find a new story that better ties in all 3 previous games? Hell yeah!

This is how I imagine Bioshock looks if I would start it up right now but I guess ... this is one more the result of nostalgica.

Many games got a remaster. And then there were games that should have, but didn't. Bioshock should totally get remasters of at least the first two games. Maybe a director's cut of infinite.

The remaster actually did fairly well. However a remake with beneficial changes would be acceptable, as long as they dont remake that garbage called bioshock 2. Infinite was ehhhh ok. But bioshock was really special with its environments and aesthetics, mostly. Definitely had flaws though. Id assume if it had more in common with red dead redemption 2 it would be great. Games need to stop having a lack of ammunition based damage, and a lack of aim accuracy based difficulty. Gta4 really did that right. Its the only game i know that does it. The only enemies with higher health bars and aim accuracy were swat teams and experienced higher up mafia members.

The cats fit so perfectly, and make the environment feel even more lived in. If they ever remake this, they need to be in it.

An UE5 port would be amazing. They should do it for 1+2 and bundle it.
