Hi. It was ~$3,000 USD for one-way when we flew in August 2024. Usually airfare fluctuates a lot but when I was scanning for prices, the price of this. flight seemed pretty stable. I agree, if it was $3k for round trip that’s really reasonable

I haven’t stayed in the Grand Suite King room but I am sure it is really nice given the overall quality of the Grand Hyatt Taipei and I hope you enjoy their Grand Club Lounge!

Hi. I believe you can buy a day pass and reserve a private room at the same time when you check in at the front desk.

The Library brunch was 198 MYR. The Cobalt Room’s dinner buffet was 170 MYR, and I expect the breakfast buffet would be less expensive but never saw a price quoted. The breakfast at the Club Lounge is not for sale, but complimentary for those that stay in a club wing room.

Grand Hyatt Jeju opened in December 2020. I would consider that a fairly new hotel.

Hi. Tribute Portfolio is a hotel brand under Marriott. Marriott franchises most of those hotels out to franchisees who will operate the property and then pay royalties to Marriott.

Hi. I don’t think United 1st class gets complimentary access to this Plaza Premium Lounge. It is possible as some premium cabins offer complimentary lounge access to specific lounges but best to check the details of your booking on the United website or app for lounge access.

Hi. There is no required deposit to make a booking. There is a prepaid booking option that offers a discount, and would function closest to making a deposit.

You can make a standard (flexible) booking and there is no deposit.

so there is no safety deposit during check in at hotel

At check in, the hotel will place a temporary charge on your credit card for incidentals. The charge will be reversed upon confirming your room(s) are fine after check out. I don’t know how much the temporary charge will be. But I would expect the amount to depend on the number of rooms booked and somewhere in the range of $100 - $200 per room.

Hello. Good question. The Plaza Premium lounge in Zone A is an enclosed lounge (has a roof) whereas the Plaza Premium lounge in Zone A1 is open which makes for a noisier environment. Zone A1 lounge is smaller. The last time I visited Zone A1 was in 2019 so I don’t have a recent experience with the food offerings.

Hi. I remember the couches being regular couches, not convertible to beds. The Kaohsiung Marriott website quotes the Grand Executive Suite’s maximum capacity at 2 and says “sofa” in the list of furniture, rather than “sofa bed” like in other hotels’ descriptions. I thought the couches were comfortable. Although there is only one long couch and one arm chair, so it would be tricky to sleep two children with that configuration. My suggestion would be to ask if they can bring an extra bed to the room but the Marriott Kaohsiung Grand Executive Suite website has some confusing wording about rollaway beds, “Rollaway beds not permitted Cribs permitted: 1 Maximum cribs/rollaway beds permitted: 1”
