24 years in business and I did not find gold on land yet. Congratulation. What a luck.

Great Channel!! Hello from Ottawa Canada, the other side of the pond!. Detected twice in UK years back with old analog machines in Chichester and Bournemouth Beach. Lived briefly in UK as a child. Parents were Brits. Could you please help a young Floridian Detecting buddy of mine new to KZbin by subscribing to his channel for "Free", am sure he would appreciate your support?. Very timely for me to find this great video. Went out yesterday for the first time ever with my new Deus 11 and the 13 " coil it was supplied with. I did wonder if there were going to be differences after 8 years using the 11" coil on my Deus 1. The only real difference so far is my arm aches a bit more ! ... But we were on stubble.
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire2 күн бұрын
Hi Mark, you are going to find most things with both coils, but in the long run, you will make more finds with the 13 inch coil as you are covering more ground on every swing. That soon amounts to a huge amount of land covered compared to the smaller coil. I only ever use the 13 inch now, unless the terrain is very steep, and or lumpy/uneven and overgrown, in which case I use the 11 inch. But yeah you do feel it more in the shoulder, particularly when you go large amounts of time without a signal. You really feel it then. Thanks very much for visiting my channel and for watching this video

Hello, a lot of useful knowledge, can i pleas ask who do you get permission from when it comes to detecting in woods/forests? Can permission be refused or revoked?
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire2 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my metal detecting channel and for watching this video, oh and for your kind words. Regarding permissions, ALL land is owned, including woodland and forests, you should always seek the owner of the land to ask for permission. Without permission, it is considered as trespassing and theft. I actually created a video dedicated too how I get metal detecting permissions, you can see that here if you wish: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4XJpIOXmLGho6csi=7qxkEs9qVjNvLRj4 Thanks again, and hope to see you on my channel again

Thank you for your great videos, I have been watching them the last couple of nights and love them. I've always wanted to get into metal detecting, I did a little with my dad about 25 years ago and found it very interesting, but both of us had no clue, ha ha.. I was just wondering if you could point me in the right direction in buying my first metal detector, I have about £500 to spend. Any help would be appreciated.
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire3 күн бұрын
Hi there, I normally reply to comments in order I receive them, and am currently about 6 weeks behind. But seeing as you are new to my channel, I thought I'd bump you up the list. If I was buying my first metal detector with that kind of budget, and especially at the moment with Black Friday deals, I'd go for the Nokta makro Triple Score. Awesome machine, and comes with a pinpointer, finds pouch, possibly another coil too. Have a look at Regtons metal detectors website see what deal they have on. I have some other video links below which talk about equipment and getting permissions - they might help you: For further guidance, I also created a video on how to get metal detecting permissions. You can find that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4XJpIOXmLGho6csi=RBU--0cJ6MtXRR_k I also created this video which shows you what kit you need to enjoy the hobby of metal detecting. You can find that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oabPoKqOl5Vob6Msi=Zt_Q6JohzSIPGZXs Finally, I would like to share with you one of my favourite videos, which shows 2 of my best ever gold finds, found on the same field, just 7 days apart. You can find that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJLWgqKwpq2Zr9Esi=FTveXlY56XvWztqw Thanks again, hope all this helps, and have a great day. Gareth

Hi mate, I love my retro music, and recently discovered there's a synthwave category on Epidemic Sounds, with some right bangers in there. Always love experimenting with music and trying to make the most of it seeing as we pay an absolute fortune for it!! Just so we clear, you got your finger crossed for me to find a gold ring right? Not you!!! Hahaha. Thanks as always for coming along, I hope you and your family are doing OK x ps - I have very nearly finished editing our session all those months ago, should be uploaded this weekend !!

Hi mate, what channel name and which video was it that you watched? I've never really looked into the correlation between views and comments. I think the total amount of comments on a video, also includes replies from yourself. I have seen some dodgey channels with some dodgey stats though

@@thegallowsdetectorists666 I'd be asking how a channel with only 480,000 views has 38,000 subscribers.. I have 5 times the amount of views, but half as many subscribers.. With 38,000 subs I would expect him to have multiple videos with half a million views+ on each. Half my subs came from my most watched video

Another great Duke vid .36 shillings coin weight was for a Portuguese gold coin known as a Joe or joey .A good sign mate .Don't think the band of hope would be for you as it was given to people who had taken the pledge not to drink alcohol ?.I hope you haven't as that sounds very nasty ,even terminal .Brill vid roll on next .

Really enjoyed the trip across the fields with you. The piece at 4.50 looks like a mantle piece clock winder. The fat end for the mechanism, the thinner end to adjust the hands and any sub-dials. The Gorgeous George penny has had another coin/piece of metal up against it, hence the chemical reaction. One of the best channels out there ...atb

Great stuff Gareth and yeah, great to see that Ridge & Furrow from your drone shots, like you mentioned... I'm no expert in R&F but, like you, I do generally love detecting on pasture. I think there's something 'purist' about it somehow, (without being snobby) plus, with the right settings on the ol' Deus 2, it's perhaps where we can achieve the greatest depth... Anyways, thanks again matey for another great video, Bobby. 🙏🏻
