Why do English blokes struggle so much with foreign names & language, particularly as you're a clever guy exposed to many names & nationalities in the football world & this game. I signed a midfield destroyer recently that also has good vision and okay passing and flair so i felt the urge to retrain him as a pressing forward on defend because when are you going to find a forward with 15 tackling who can lead the press from the front. 18 teamwork and 16 work rate too. Kind of worried it would ruin their development for nothing if it doesn't work though, for all their vision and decent passing/flair they only have 10 technique so that might make it a non-starter. Is there any differences between retraining youth and veteran players?

@@FletchTheSauce It's true, no risk no reward. Still, I do think you see dips in attributes when you retrain, even when just trying to make a player natural in a position they are already competent in. I think I might keep this player in his position til I've got most of his early development done, like 23/24 and then give it a go, at the very least his technique might continue to rise a bit which would help and then any dip in attributes will go down from a higher point, if that makes sense. This player looks like he'll be a beast though so I probably shouldn't worry that much but those downward arrows are triggering I swear lol
