As you can probably guess mosquitos are not a problem here this time of year. -22F this morning and its down there again tonight. They say the real cold weather is coming here on the 19th so this is just a preview.

@@roosty6 good evening Roosty. Ya, you are lucky in that respect. We don't get the cold spells we used to get. But when it does get cold, mother nature makes it worth while. Coldest it's been this winter was 22° but got above freezing during the day. Just not cold long enough to get them. Stay warm!! They were saying snow at the end of the week, but now it's 0% precipitation..

Good evening Ed. It didn't get too cold lastnight, upper 20's but never warmed up much today even though it was btight sunshine. It was fairly windy. Cold tonight, it's already down to10. 🥶 Upper 30's tomorrow. No, don't shoot Wally that would be bad! 😢

I forgot to mention, there's also a new house behind the trees back there on our east line. I dumped the chaff I cleaned up, out back that direction, first bucket load out, the rabbit was under the irrigation pipe trailer at the other end of the big bale barn. Still wouldn't have been able to get a shot off. Oh well 🙄

@@3dranchmanitoba howdy, they are really good little tractors!! Single rake is just right.. we used to pull double.. ok on flat ground, but hills are too much for them. Used to blow head gaskets. Now they are semi retired..

Got the goats and lambs sorted, load in a little bit and take off early tomorrow morning. Put some hay in there for them to chew on for the trip down. Nothing wrong with another mouse catcher around the barn. As long as they aren’t a Tom spraying everything.

Lunchtime here now 🙂 In areas where vegetation is getting thick, I've started scraping the stone/roots out and topping with new stone. Those are the areas that would grow back quickly after being treated. Cold and snowy here still!

@@3dranchmanitoba we've never moved everything through them, but I've trucked through them way too many times.. My back is so messed up.. Piper Doug and I are about the same.. I can usually get home and get right back to it, but sometimes, especially when the bone cracker tells me to rest the rest of the day, I don't do too much.. things are staying put, muscles are still not happy, but.. I can't just sit around, unless I have no choice.

@@anthonynapier4668 when I was a young man, we bale 250k small bales every year. Started round bales around 1980. Graduated to big bales in 2000.. unfortunately, we still need small bales for straw, but as you can see, we have big straw bales too.. Thank you Anthony!!!
