Best recommendation is to try it. Some non-goretex are on sale. While your at it you can also try the Pegasus plus that is way better in terms of cushion. Too bad it doesn’t come with goretex.

how does it do when just wearing it as daily lifestyle shoes. hows the breathability?
@thequalityadventure7 күн бұрын
I have the Blueprint Easy on Peg 41 and that is so comfortable for walking and as a daily lifestyle shoes I have no complaints but for running it’s not as responsive for me. Breathability for a daily shoe should be ok since your wearing it on a cold/wet weather but for running it might be too hot for others. Since I only use it for short runs my feet doesn’t heat up too much but it is noticeable.
@kingGumMyB3aR6 күн бұрын
@@thequalityadventure The reason why im planning to get the gore-tex was its kinda cheaper now haha1 and just use it for ofc, or travelling aboard or just a daily lifestyle use here in the Philippines. Thanks for your input brother! appreciate it.

The video I was looking for. What other shoes would you suggest with similar characteristics but with better cushioning?
@thequalityadventure10 күн бұрын
I have found good reviews on the Puma Velocity 3 nitro, which also has Gore-Tex. Better cushion with their popular Nitrofoam 36/26 10mm drop, and it is lighter. It is $10 cheaper. Also, you can look at the Adidas Supernova Gore-tex. Again, more cushion and cheaper. Hope this helps. 🤙

Can you spot a real and fake for Alphafly 1?
@thequalityadventure18 күн бұрын
I would love to if I can get my hands on one. It’s pretty much hard to find one except eBay. If you are interested in buying on eBay make sure that the seller has Authenticity Guarantee. I tried to buy a Vaporfly Next 2% EKIDEN and the Authenticator verified that the shoe is fake and I got refunded.

@ the best thing I recommend is find a website that has photos of every angle and zoom it in and compare every single detail like the swoosh, the wording, the color, etc. If your box has a QR code scan it if it directs you to Nike. Not sure if the AF1 has a QR but the AF3 has one. Hope this helps

Hi i´m looking to buy these Hoka but one question, i´m sure nothing(sand, stones, etc) will enter threw that new sock gater but how about when you run in water or rivers, will the sand from the river enter threw that breathable Matrix upper? The worst thing that has happened to me in a Trail race was to stop after crossing a small river and take all the sand from the river crossing out of my Salomon Ultragide! Cheers!
@thequalityadventure18 күн бұрын
David the answer is yes. There are multiple entry points for sand to enter when submerged in water. If there is a water crossing I would put a plan in place in terms of shoe and sock of choice. Sad to say, you will also need to stop to remove the sand if you do the same with these shoes.

@thequalityadventureАй бұрын
Yes I would say so. 40 miles now on the shoe and still looks like new. The different rubber they used is much thicker than the Alphafly hence a heavier shoe. Although there are users of the Alphafly reporting that they have over 200miles on this shoe so that tells me you can even clock more miles on this daily trainers. My recommendation, become a Nike member therefore you get 60 days to try the shoe and if you think it’s wearing out too fast for you, you can return it. 🤙🏽

Do you think this shoe would work as a comfortable casual wear as well?
@thequalityadventureАй бұрын
There is an unwritten rule that a carbon plated shoe should not be worn other than running. If I may suggest, here are better alternatives for the swoosh lineup: InfinityRN, Invincible, Pegasus, and Vomero. I have the Pegasus slip on and I took that halfway around the globe and it is so comfortable. I’m not saying you should follow the unwritten rule but if it is comfortable for you to wear other than running then that’s all that matters 🤙🏽
@Real805gameАй бұрын

Thicker toe socks worked really well in this shoe for me. It sucked up a lot of the dead space in the shoe. I ran a 50 K Mountain race in this shoe with absolutely no issues at all. No blisters, no hot spots and it held up well against the Rugged terrain. Even after a couple of breaking runs, and this race, I ran recently in them, and they still feel totally good - foam wise. I’m not sure I would ever train in them, except for a very long run, but they make a great versatile trail racing shoe.

Went to two authentication websites and both confirmed they were counterfeit. What’s worse is the eBay terminated my account permanently even though I did nothing other than buy the shoes. So because my account is suspended I can’t initiate a refund. My bank is investigating the fraudulent merchandise with the evidence I gave them.

Thank you for the comment. I really didn’t intend to purchase a fake one nor even try one. I have nothing against because I have tried fake items and it is never close to a real one. Nike spent time to engineer the air pods and carbon plated along with the zoom x foam and that cannot be copied. Fake ones are getting really close but not quite. Also if I use it then I wouldn’t be able to return it so I wouldn’t even waste my $200 for a video. If you would like to try them yourself I would be happy to share you where I got it and maybe you can do the comparison review. 😊

@thequalityadventure6 ай бұрын
Sorry that was not shown but what I did was wrap my chain stay and removed the derailleur and taped it in the bottom side of the chainstay to avoid if from scratching the frame and the chain from moving too much. You will need to tape the chain as well to the chainstay after you wrap the chainstay to avoid it from flopping arround. Everything has to be tapped tight and avoid frame damage. Next time I travel I will do a shorts video ☺️

Hey Dude, nice video. I'm a far bit older than you are, but also an avid cyclist looking to preserve my bones as long as possible. With that in mind, I'm curious as to whether you're riding tubeless on your graveler? I recently switched to tubeless on both the gravel and mtn bikes, and I noticed a BIG difference in "cushiness" from just doing that...since you can lower air pressure without creating more drag. I JUST got my suspension stem and will be installing it today. Everyone says they "get cushier" after a short break-in period, so I'm sure you'll notice that too. Take care and keep at it!
@thequalityadventure6 ай бұрын
Yes I ride tubeless because the trails here have thorns and I used to get flats a lot when tubeless was not even a thing. You are right you can run a lower tire pressure with tubeless setup. The rubber cushion in the stem can wear out the good thing is that it is replaceable. Thank you for tunning in and take care as well 🤙

I bought this same bag about 6 years ago and have used it a few times with no issues. I would recommend not putting the gear bag inside the bike bag and instead pack it into another checked bag if possible. The reason is that TSA in the US will definitely open up the bike bag and they will likely take out the gear bag out and go through it. This gives them more opportunity to lose things. I had a friend that had a few items missing when he traveled with his bike and ended up having to buy new parts before we could go riding. TSA likely forgot to put them back in the bike carrier when they were done. All I pack in the bike bag is the bike and the wheels. Pedals, tools, shoes, helmet, etc all go in other luggage (don't pack tools in carry-on as they will likely be confiscated). To protect the frame more you can get foam pipe insulation of different sizes at your local home center and use them to wrap the front fork and rear stays. The foam comes pre-split down the length so it's easy to slip on. While not necessary, you could use some zip ties to strap the foam to the stays/forks. If you go that route, bring extras to repack on the way back. Lastly, I loosen the handle bar, rotate it down and then snug it back up. This moves the shifters more out of the way to protect them from impact. Just assume the bag will be dropped along the way at some point so best to move things to areas that will protect them more. Same reason that the rear derailleur should be removed from the frame.
