There is a box spanner in the tool kit which pulls the plug out quite nicely.

Great content as always! Would you consider a periodic Q and A video to answer ppl's questions and address their comments? I have been recently thinking about the engine oils - motorbike oils are more expensive than car oils and they have different composition, because on a motorcycle the oil lubricates not only the engine but also the gearbox and the clutch. On a scoot the oil only lubricates the engine - like on a car... so... would I be a dumb thing to use car engine oil on it? As I said - car engine oils are not only cheaper, but also offer higher range of temperature protection (e.g. on my Civic Type R I use the 5W-50 (Mobile1) while the closest I could find for a motorbike is 5W-40 (Motul) ). What is your opinion on this?

You are correct, scooter oil lubricates only the engine.. (no gearbox, no multiple wet clutch basket & friction disks) I own a gilera nexus 300 centenario with 150.000Km on clock and runs perfectly smooth on 5w-30 car oil.. plenty of my buddies with 300cc Beverlys and Nexus have passed 100.000Km working on car oil with no issues whatsoever. we just perform oil replacement between 3 and 5 thousand kilometers...

@johnskarvelis6936 that's great! Do you also change the oil filter each time you change the oil or say, every other time? BTW - I have Aprilia Sr Max 300 - if I swapped the badge at the front it would be a Gillera Nexus 🙂

@@onemanmob6756 thats true, the SR Max is basically a Nexus covered in Aprilia decals! oil filter is replaced every other time. 50% OEM filter other times we use the Hiflo HF183 filter.. another thing: during july-august we use 10w-40 oil because ambient temp here hits 45 degrees celcius ;)

@johnskarvelis6936 ...just like here, in Australia, only in February 😃 Thanks for all the info! I will be switching to car oil now!

I would attach a socket knuckle and turn from the outside once the actual plug socket is in place, it's not too bad that way.

That's why I don't have a Vespa .. all the vital components are in a bear's ass .. try to access them :)))

Changing a spark plug shouldn't be so awkward to do. No criticism of the technician here intended, just awful design. Sadly, a picture we see now across a lot of motorcycles.
