On the "Live Log" tab you should be able to select the `{drive}\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Logs` folder. If you're on the "Upload a Log" tab, it will require you to select a specific `.txt` file. It sounds like you're looking at the "Upload a Log" tab, but you're trying to perform a "live log" upload as you fight new bosses. Try swapping to Live Log tab and let me know if that helps!

heya! I can try and help here, but yes the interface of WeakAuras is constantly getting updated and renamed, but to my knowledge all of the triggers are still the same. Is there one specifically that you couldn't find?

you don't have to, but it's a good habit when you remember to. For context, I've raided most days this week and not deleted logs manually and i only have a handful locally still.

There's three parts to this and it might be easiest to reduce it to as many as possible. Your actionbars (baseline wow feature) show text based on what key they're bound to. Hekili then shows the text based on what actionbar item that spell has been placed on. Involving auras shouldn't be necessary, you can just bind the key to something else, or edit the way the text shows in Hekili.

@@nonye0 WeakAuras shouldn't be invovled in what you're trying to do at all, for what it's worth. If you're leveraging Hekili, just use `/hekili` to open the menu and move the hekil "spell list" around your screen with your mouse. If you want them to show different text on the spells shown, put that spell on your actionbars (open spellbook with "p", then drag them onto an action bar), then change the actionbar binding (esc -> Options -> Keybinding) to match what you want.

Admittedly, once I got up there I had to run for like ten minutes to get to the doorway so it probably ate more time than it was worth 😂

@@hrothmar I just had the exact same dilemma. Only managed to work around it by doing another glitch where a prop threw me threw the wall into the next area :’) I love when bugs work in our favour!

Hey friend! Yes, but you'd need to set up Triggers for each of those 5 buffs, then show them each if you have them or not. Other auras exist like this already and can be found on Wago.io by searching for "roll the bones" and there are a variety of options available if you dont want to build your own (wago.io/Pd53s_NPU) or (wago.io/Nyg6wk4_l)

I haven’t written any myself, since it is usually written in LUA, a language that I’m not familiar with. That said, I have edited existing ones to repurpose them for things I need! It’s fun, but a little daunting simultaneously.

Sure thing! So up at the top of the screen, to the right of the boss name, there should be a section that says “All Phases”. If you’re currently zoomed into a potion of the fight, a link will appear below that phrase which reads “[reset zoom]”, which should return you!

so CombatLog is designed to mostly encapsulate instanced content, there's a setting somewhere to allow for the capture of random mobs (but they're ignored by default because it would clutter logs like crazy). You also can NOT delete logs while your game is running. This is by design. WoW has to be stopped before you can delete existing logs.

@@hrothmar okay, so I ran stockades to try it out. I stopped the combat log many times to upload that little segment of fighting. It all uploaded but seemed to be the same entire file and not separate little fights? Basically if I run BFD, I should just start the live log and combat log in game only once and stop it once the raid is over with?

@@matthew7972no need to stop combat logs to get little segments of fighting, just run the whole thing and then complete the instance. Dungeons are counted as one large instance, raids are per-boss. It sounds like you're mostly tripping up the tool from being able to do its job and it's causing problems with its outcome. For dungeons, you can start CombatLog/LiveLog (run multiple dungeons) then disable it once you're completed, same with raid. Also, I'm unsure how well it works with Classic/SoD since I solely deal with retail information.

it's unlikely that people are clicking faster than you, since WoW leverages a GCD, meaning you have a window of ~1.2 seconds to press something before you'd be falling behind due to lack of inputs (and even then, you can pre-queue spells slightly ahead of time for your next input to buy you time). What I would recommend is taking this knowledge of "something is wrong between the number of Between The Eyes casts between them and myself", and continue auditing to see if any thing else stands out as odd, such as you casting a different spell more than them instead. You can also take these findings to your Class/Spec discord and ask for assistance in auditing the logs for advice too, it could be anything from rotation to tier set differences, to just lucky RNG, but it's good to identify where the core disconnect is so you can dig in further from there.

I haven’t used bartender in a number of years so I’d have to get up to speed with its capabilities, but weakauras generally has deeper overall capabilities. This video is just how to accomplish the task within this specific tool- not that it’s necessarily the best tool for everyone (or every circumstance)
