Tamiya's M48 Patton Tank in Vietnam

So far without a diorama, I haven't had the vision for that yet, but loved this build and especially the paint and weathering. I would love to do it in a Hue, Urban Tet offensive style dio. I include a few period pictures of similar setups. Just air-drying clay, its the terracotta coloured one. Cheers man.

Not To "Nitpick" you can build it anyway you want, but a USMC tank wouldn't typically have the white stars and an ARMY tank woudlnt have the raised exhaust pipe mostly Marines used those, but hey it looks great.

yeah i built this model when i first started this hobby(mine didn't come with the search light or snorkel). Back then i used Tamiya rattle cans and sprayed everything on the sprue trees before building. I didn't do any shading or weathering. I think i will now go back and do some post shading and weathering and buy some after market parts. Thanks again for the motivation. These tanks would have gotten beat up and scratched but not rusted out maybe some surface rust as they had a robust factory primer/paint.

yeah my example photos had busted fenders but in the end it was a case of knowing when to stop. After the video I fitted the two aerials and the machine gun on top, and some straps to show the stowage wasn't floating, but then I stopped. I loved this, I'd do the USMC one maybe in the future and batter it up a bit more. thanks for commenting.

nice it is a nice kit. The US uses live track so it shouldn't sag like many ww2 tanks.

Thanks dude, yeah I didn't want to do the USMC version in the box but there is one, I wanted the more recognisable stars, the photos in the video are just situation research. cheers.
